+Amy Rey I love Lana Del Rey. I listen to Ultraviolence and Honeymoon on repeat, but Lana del Rey is no singer. she is actually pretty horrible at singing. If you think this is good singing then god bless your soul.
+Nived92 I actually saw her live and let me tell you she has a voice of an angel and is a very talented women that can sing. But I suppose we're all entitled to our own opinions.
It's not belted, the high notes in the chorus are all head voice. I suggest studying a little bit of classical technique, specifically the tall vowel shapes, and make sure you have smooth, consistent vibrato for the chorus. The verse is definitely chest register, and the pre-chorus is a mix of head or chest, but Lana doesn't actually mix those two registers together. Lana only ever uses specifically chest or head voice, she has poor technique but a beautiful timbre. I wouldn't say her technique isn't healthy, it's just not completely supported. Those notes aren't that high, especially compared to what you would be singing for classical folk tunes or Italian arias. Try basing your technique on that, and when you sing pop songs like this, they'll be incredibly easy to perform.
she always has that kind of voice, always be angelic and just perfect and those terrible last years performances was just because she was so nervous then and Lana is just type of person that is not suitable for being on stage, in crowd in ofc positive way... just my opinion, no offence :)
She's been through a lot and is a very strong person to have overcome it and then channelled it into music. But I don't like your misandric tone their. It devalues the people who can empathise with some of things she's been put through.
What no one understands is that she is "naturally good". Which is why she's so divisive. Some claim she sings like an angel, some say she can't sing at all. In terms of technical ability and self control/discipline she is not very good and those attributes just stick out more for certain people. They're very obvious to me as a musician BUT I'm also the type to appreciate natrual raw talent and that's why I love her. She's a nice break from the Adeles and Lady Gagas of the world. Nothing against them, they're good, almost too good. Sometimes a clean polished sound gets boring. Lana is more raw and edgy.
2019 ? Is anyone there? I want money, power and glory I want money, and all your power, all your glory Alleluia! I wanna take you for all that you got Alleluia! I'm gonna take them for all that they got Dope and diamonds, dope and diamonds, diamonds Dope and diamonds, dope and diamonds That's all that I want. Dope and diamonds, dope and diamonds, diamonds
Audrey Grant take this at face value, but I once heard from someone that works in the industry that her team recorded this entire show and had intentions of releasing it as a live album. (I guess the idea never went through) Apparently her team was blown away by this performance and they considered it at the time to be her greatest live set. You’re so lucky! You go to witness this moment in her career and I’ve been obsessed with this performance since it was uploaded.
This is like my favourite song from the album, I'm so happy they're playing it! She's amazing, her vocals are flawless both in the low and in the high parts
This is the performance that made me love this song. I thought of it as a filler when I first heard the album, but this performance, and her vocals, made me realise the song is genius.
This is one of my favourite songs in ultraviolence album❤️. Lana's voice is so angelic. Not only is she stunningly beautiful, but also her songs are all so meaningful and so real. 💞💞 I love you so much, lana. 💖💖
