She still can get that high and low, she's just not exploring more her craziness in her vocals, she's keeping it low-key, I don't know why, she could be an amazing vocalist if she really wants it. In her cover of "Doin' Time", you can hear her beautiful head voice, and the childish stile in the bridge.
I can't stop watching this. I think those who are complaining are expecting her to try to make it sound like the original. She usually does that in bigger concerts, but in smaller she seem to get loose and goes "crazy" on the scene. It looks like she is really enjoying it and so do I. As a Lana Del Rey fan, I love to hear her sing different lyrics and tones in live shows, different than the original songs which I have heard x50000 times.

Her material is so original, so courageous, so difficult to pull off live. I think it's easy to criticize her live performances but consider how she's trying to recreate a mood, a feeling... I think she does very well. Actually I think you might need to be a grownup to fully appreciate how good she is ;)

Lana Del Rey is brilliant. She is her own genre. She tests herself during live performances simultaneously giving everyone their very own unique experience to cherish at a level one chooses to decide. Life is what you make of it. She is very poetic and ties together a lot of "strings". Reflect on it.

I feel like her vocals are even more intense and truly on this live than in the recorded version ngl. And this melody is supposed to be like this, unstable and painful cause it's a song that talks about missing someone, missing a love.
I think people the reason why people usually criticize her performances is because she doesn't go exactly by the way she sings in the record. Which in my opinion is amazing because it shows she is versatile, not to mention it shows that she is not lip singing, which is seen in some artists today.
This is what a Goddess sounds like. People who find her voice bad, I pity you. Because it is this rawness and her not caring to sound perfect is what gives her voice a unique flavour.. what I crave for n what NOBODY else has. Those perfect voices can never make me feel what she does. She's my fairygodmother.. is probably a higher dimensional being. Lana is my baby :)

Yes, her voice changes a lot, but just real singers can do that. The fact that she sings different in live is even more incredible because she can reach many great notes and with that she is proving us that she sings!!! Her high notes are awesome! and is the same with low notes... She sings really great, one of the best singers :)
This performance is brilliant. People who are used to over-produced pop music don't understand she is combination of hip-pop, alternative (lyrically), and folksy 60's, like Bob Dylan. She reminds me of a young female Dylan.
Her change of both tone, depth and the small details in her vocals are absolutely beyond this world. If I was a singer I would be SOOOOOOOO envy of Lana's voice, as a music producer I get to keep envy the melody instead lol.

WOW! She is one of the few artists these days that can make one of her signature songs sound like it's a brand new one. Absolutely lovely, no lip syncing here that's for sure.
I couldn't even go to her concert because I would just cry like a baby. She is just an absolute superstar in every sense of the word. I've never been more emotionally attached to an artist before, it's insane.
I love Lana. However I was unmoved by this performance. The parts where she talked through the lyrics and deepened her voice didn't sound nice. Towards the end I think she let rip and lost her nerves, it improved then. Overall though it sounded like a karaoke session...sorry Lana! I LOVE your music and you have more talent in your little finger than most of these wannabe artists.
I'm trying to figure out what it is. Maybe we she sings super deep, it bugs me just slightly because it sounds like she's making fun of someone who has a voice like that or something. HAHA idk. hard to put a finger on, but I totally dig her album versions.
Think about how you would sing a Barry White song if your voice is only say, as deep as Barack Obama's. You could probably do it minimally and only in a "forced" way. She is a mezzo-soprano (middle voice female) trying to sing constantly as a contralto (lower voice female). She is lucky to have that lower, but it isn't easy for her to control because it's really pushing her range. In studio, you can always do a retake when your voice is heavier.
She isn't "wilde" with her voice these days as she used to be, she got so much ability in her voice but today she just stay in the safe zone maybe for the sake of mainstream, I wish she can just go back singing like she don't give a damn about the world
I miss the Our Father at the beginning of Blue Jeans :( I also miss how she changed the " But I will love you 'till the end of time".. I feel like she changed it all after she was getting criticized for her style. I feel like it was all so personal, and we never hear it in her newer stuff.
