My favorite line of this video: “or if you have an adult that you don’t care if they’re comfortable you can sleep them on this sofa-futon bed.” That’s ALL of my relatives and several of my friends. Extremely helpful video; thank you.
My wife and I listen to Brad the other night on TV while searching for another Lance. We both was amazed with this salesman from Chattanooga, with his honest talk, so candor! NEVER CHANGE for honestly goes a long ways. By the way we're originally from Chattanooga.
Awesome truck camper! Great review, thank you. I thought the 1172 had a pantry? Still a ton of storage. I love the Java color. I've never seen the royal blue color. I can't believe all of this is on the bed of a truck. Just awesome! 👍
Thank you! They used to have slide out pantries as an option for most of our camper models, but did away with them across the board. I’m not sure why, maybe lack of supply?
@@itsbrad I’m the adventurous one, hubby is so not!!!! I’m wanting to see America along with many many side trip adventures.... while this camper is beautiful it’s so out of my price range.... as most RV’s are nowadays!
@@Harry-zz2oh The advantage of the Slides is that it allows you take along a couple of the Grands and show them the Sights that Mom & Dad are working too hard to do. If it’s a rainy day you can actually do something inside and not drive everyone crazy!! Best of all, you can do it w/o needing a 30’ TT. Which is what we currently do!
Now thats a monster camper 🙄👍. Would be amazing for weekend parties. I missed your videos. Also you always say somethin that cracks me up. - The shades keeps someone from lookin at your eggs and the couch bed is for that adult that you don't mind maybe being uncomfortable 😂. After you said that, i got a youtube commercial -a guy talkin bout some kind of bacteria that grows bigger balls (im serious, no joke). I had to skip it😂. Gotta love the comments section😉 WB! Thanks, great review!
Thank you for an excellent video! This may sound absurd but if I could design one of these I would exhaust all my options in designing the dinette area to be a laundry area.. meaning... maybe a slim style recliner or a very small built in desk... then have a cabinet for either a washer/dryer combo or a stackable washer/dryer. That's just me. Usually, don't need to sleep quite that many folks. :-)
Hey Enjoying your video. 2 Questions: 1. Can you do a video with the Slides in please? I want to see 👀 how it looks. 2. Can one drive with the Rear Sides Out?
Another excellent video, I hope your boss appreciates what you do! Question for you, do you guys plan on bringing in a 1062? I promise, I’m not going to bug you about the 960 any more, I know it’s coming! 😉
1062 always have a birthday on our lot so we haven’t ordered any for this year lol 975 & 1172 are most popular in the slide out models! Can’t wait to receive a 960
I like the couch 🛋 I'm also short so if I fell asleep 😴 💤 on couch it'd probably be ok I just love the campers now because they have the couch available and full entertainment I know this one doesn't but just having the couch makes it see. Bigger and I've always hated campers for the too small thing but considering they are making them feel bigger I could actually think about having one myself
I love Brad's deadpan humor. "the sticker doesn't make it 4 seasons....rather the heated basement does" LOL !! This is one seriously slick rig. I'm curious...when people use these at a campsite...do they typically keep it on the truck or do they sit it down on the ground and then have their vehicle free to leave the camp site (run into town for groceries, etc)?? Sorry if that is a dumb question. I'm new to this RV stuff.
Can you do a technical video. Example: measurements for bed(if it can be mounted to a service utility body 49 or 54 inch bed, flatbed. What works off battery and how much watts lights, fridge, miscellaneous things. How long can two lithium batteries run with fridge on, TV and lights. Other tech stuff like regular maintenance, how flushes work, things you would need to know how to do and what to look out for when using one on the regular. How to wire solar panels. How to add my own lithium batteries. Crankbup generator and turn on ac to see how loud, how long it'll run with utilities on How to wash the camper/ maintenance, how to winterize(actually show it being done) Etc etc... thanks hope that wasn't overwhelming 😁
A year or so ago I saw a review of a Lance w/3 Slide-outs. I believe they said it was a Prototype. I haven’t seen anything since. I thought it was really innovative and for the first time in years it made me consider a Pick-Up Camper. What has happened with the 3 Slide Unit?
@Barry Hoffman Well that’s too bad. I’ve always had a special feeling about Pick-Up Truck Campers ever since my folks bought a 1969 Avion C-11. That was quite the Camper. The Cab-Over Bed was King Sized but there was no storage up there. It did have a full Wet-Bath and a complete Galley & Dinette that would sleep 2 adults (a little snugly). And it was Aluminum. Lance has made a good product. I certainly hope it continues that way. Who bought them out?
@@scottherrick7531 on sticker the 450 has a lesser payload capacity. Don’t know why they didn’t slap a larger gvwr on the 450. We had a 2017 F350 shop truck and now have a 2020 F450. It’s a lot more truck, but for some reason they don’t change the number on the sticker lol
Can you put recliner chairs in the 975 and 1172 instead of the dinette on both sides of 1172 and on the 975 but in the 1172 recliner chairs on one side and a recliner chair on on the other side and a washer and dryer combo I think that's what they call it my shirt let me know the reason why it's just me man and I've got two kids with me only in the summertime they rather sleep in those big old recliner chairs and the dinette set and I can understand that but let me know if you can oh one more thing can you put the $2 00 and Watts solar panels on top cuz I know they got the 200 watts and the 250 Watts solar panels just want to deck mine out cuz when we go out we go out in the Badlands or up in the mountains or down in the Smokies but let me know what you think man and PS I don't type it on my phone I just talk to it and it prints it out so something crazy pops up there don't just ignore it thanks man
I’m just starting to look at truck campers. My biggest question is, can you pull a trailer with one on your truck? I have a 20 foot equipment trailer I use to haul my 4 wheelers around, and I’d like to be able to go in one trip.
Definitely. It cost me about $2,500 CDN for a truss hitch - installed and used it with this unit and an 350, towing a 26’ Motorsports trailer that loaded tipped the scales at 12,000 lbs. Gotta have one of those hitch ball scales tho to ensure you no more than 1,200 pounds on the tongue and no more than 600 if you don’t have hitch torsion bars. Performed well for the 20,000 miles we towed that unit.
eh keep the dinette id rather have a place for a dresser. this is a very nice unit but im sure its way over priced. considering you're gonna need a dually for this
My 2019 Ford F-450 diesel crew cab 4X4 has a camper weight capacity (per Ford's supplemental truck camper spec sheet) of only 3,850 lbs. How in tarnation does Lance expect anyone with a F350 or F450 equipped as mine is to haul this sucker?
You have got to be kidding me, this is the most ridiculous thing I’ve read. 3,850? Our ‘21 F-450 platinum crew cab 4x4 diesel has a payload of 5,414lbs and hauls my 975 (around 4,600lbs wet weight) with no suspension support, no problem. You have misread something, I’ve never seen a dually with a payload rating so low
My payload is 5,400 lbs. The tire loading sticker says 4,650 Lbs. The supplemental FoMoCo truck camper loading spec is 3,811. This ridiculous number is what Ford feels is a safe camper weight based on the HEIGHT of the load, which affects sway and stability. A truck bed full of sand can net you the full payload, due to the low center of gravity. Ask Ford.
@@northerniltree why would I ask Ford? It hauls my 4600lb truck camper like a hoss, like it was built to do. Why would you buy a 450 if you’re not going to haul anything?
@@itsbrad You're in the business of selling campers.Knowledge is not your enemy. What you choose to do with that information is up to you, but if asked about it by a RU-vid viewer you should honestly tell them what you know. That is a responsibility you have. Ford is rightly concerned about physics and safety.
A lot of people don’t want a motor home. Literally have to drive your campground around town, unless you haul a car behind, but if you do that, you can’t take your boat.
I’m a fan of what works the best, wether it’s a Ford, Dodge, Chevrolet. At the moment we have the least issues with the Fords as far as Fitment, tie down availability, and hauling. Going off of newer model brands
