I love this guy's insight and how much he geeks out on all the details a normal person ever thinks about, but deep inside you know it exists. Like pulling away the covers to give you a glance of what's inside.

Lance is the best! And every time, I realize quite clearly that I know nothing and should say nothing about the Dodgers' pitching staff. It'd be wild to listen to Lance comparing notes with Mark and Connor. 😀 Thx, Jeff, for the great interview!

I enjoy listening to Lance's perspective every time he comes on. I'd like him more if he was a Dodgers fan, but you can't discount his elite level knowledge of the current state of MLB pitching.

The answer is NO!! Yamamoto is nursing a Rotator Cuff injury! He will experience numbness, in his right shoulder or out right pain. The Cuff injury takes a long time to heal regardless of degree of injury. Yamamoto will lose velocity on his fastball, and will NOT have a sharp biting cut on his breaking pitches, in other words, BATTING PRACTICE for most Major league hitters! example: Yesterday!! If Yamamoto is the second option, early exit for the Dodgers!! Sorry, hope I'm wrong!

Wrong! His rotator cuff has been imaged multiple times since his injury and it’s 100% healed, also what game did you watch yesterday? The Rockies had 4 hard hit balls total, most of the problem was control (just off day) he pitched even better last week against (Atlanta) and the game before that even better 0 runs, you’re take on velocity is wrong too, he’s been clocked 94.6 avg fastball (about his average before the injury) and he’s hit 96 a few times in the 3 starts too. Take a seat dude.

Did you even watch the game? Yeah his command wasn’t great but he was better than the line shows. Lots of weak base hits that found holes in the defense, poor battery between Yamamoto and smith, still got more than a strikeout per inning. He had his FIRST bad outing since Korea. He will be fine.

@@LucasHiggins-pp3nt Hey "DUDE", or should i say meathead, All we can do is see, Yamamoto has been iffy since the cuff injury, three runs in the first, not a good sign, however the Dodger have little choice! Let's see how he performs when it matters most, same could be said about the Dodgers!! By-the-way, YOU know nothing about a Cuff injury in competition!!
