A dancing gimmick is basically creative saying "we have nothing else for you." And this wouldn't be the first time WWE would drop an undercard storyline before its conclusion.

Maybe it led to him learning to loosen up and entertaining for stuff other than technical skill. Ya know, so the writers can see it, have more faith in him, and put him in bigger storylines in the future?

2004 reaally was just a bad year for faces on Raw Lance Storm and Victoria both straddled with dancing gimmicks Randy Orton getting burried Chris Jericho in the stupid Trish/Christian storyline Matt Hardy got cucked in storyline and Irl Trish burying the entire womens roster Etc

Tbh it was his only memorable time in wwe because it was actually really entertaining. Maybe if he just tried to get into that entertainment aspect more he would have found himself in better situations.

Vince just make wrestlers do things for his own ego, sometimes it's for the fans, but sometimes it's not for the fans, but for himself. The Lance Storm dance gimmick is an exhibit. This just buries him. It's not productive. It's just doing things for the sake of doing it. There's no point to it.
