Hey nice to see local content. Am really interested in which Millerod you are pairing with your Revelry? Also which hooks are you using with the eco gear Aqua. Thanks mate
Thanks mate, keen to make some more content too. I'm using a twitchfreak, it's a great allrounder. Although it's branded as a rod for jerkbaits it can be used just as well to throw plastics. Pairs perfectly with a light reel too, being shorter than average at 6"10. Never thought i'd spend so much on a combo but if you fish a lot it's hard to regret the purchase. Just using a size 1 van fook hook with the eco gear aqua. It's a bigger hook than you'd usually use for bream but any decent size bream have no problem being hooked. Also makes it hard for them to throw the hook with tight drag.
Thanks for the reply appreciate it. Just looking at upgrading my combo now and do mostly land based lure stuff. Currently use a 2500 Freams. Thinking 2000 Rev. Have you had experience with the 1000 or 2000 compared to the 2500 Daiwa reels?
@@wayneconnor859 my rev is the 2000s, which is great, super light and very smooth. The deciding factor in 2000 v 2500 is more what youre using it for in my opinion, if you think you'll just target bream, flathead, whiting etc, 2000 is perfect. If youre using the one reel for everything, 2500 is good., eg if decide to chase giant herring in the summer. But since you already have a quality 2500, going with a 2000 is good. Could just spool one up with 4-6lb and one with 6-10lb or something along those lines.
river2sea vibe, yeah! my favourite hardbody for bream - catches fish and is cheap enough to cast around structure without shying away from risky casts. also sinks much slower than a lot of other vibes - perfect!
