This route proposes an approach from Requesens to the area where the remains of the plane crashed in the area of Albera in 1986. That year there was a large fire in the Empordà and the plane crashed into the mountain with 4 French crew on board; they all died.
The road is wide and coincides with the GR-11. If the weather is good, you can enjoy good views over the Empordà, up to the bay of Roses, the Montgrí massif. We strongly recommend this visit.
In the middle of the track there are quite a few menhirs and a very magical area which is called "The witches plain". We also recommend you to stop and walk around and feel the atmosphere. We are going to go back and do that with more time: the menhirs and the witches plain. The thing is that it we spent a long time visiting the plane and having a nice lunch, and at the end of the track where the fun was (in terms of hard uphill and downhill trail terrain) it got too dark to film in a good light. But we promise to go back and film better images and portray good shots of these complicated trail stretches so that you enjoy the good adventure images that a Land Rover can offer.

Esta ruta propone una aproximación desde Requesens a la zona donde los restos del avión se estrellaron en la zona de la Albera en 1986. Ese año hubo un gran incendio en el Empordà y el avión se estrelló contra la montaña con 4 tripulantes franceses a bordo; todos ellos murieron.
El camino es ancho y coincide con el GR-11. Si hace buen tiempo, se pueden disfrutar de buenas vistas sobre el Empordà, hasta la bahía de Roses, el macizo del Montgrí. Recomendamos encarecidamente esta visita.
En medio de la pista hay bastantes menhires y una zona muy mágica que se llama "El llano de las brujas". También te recomendamos parar a pasear y sentir el ambiente. Vamos a volver y hacer eso con más tiempo: los menhires y el llano de las brujas. El caso es que pasamos mucho tiempo visitando el avión y teniendo un buen almuerzo, y al final de la pista donde estaba la diversión (en términos de terreno duro cuesta arriba y cuesta abajo) se puso demasiado oscuro para filmar en una buena luz. Pero prometemos volver y filmar mejores imágenes y retratar buenas tomas de estos complicados tramos de senderos para que disfrutes de las buenas imágenes de aventura que puede ofrecer un Land Rover.
