Hi Simon and team ....... I'm in Worcester (UK) and got the update notification about 10 days ago. Defender 90 P300 MY 21 Total mileage 12,500. Carried out the update that night but also put the CTEK charger on to ensure battery drain wasn't an issue. The security update was done 7 days ago and frankly neither has been an issue and still trying to see what has changed? One thing I would say is that I put the CTEK charger on once a week. I have the CTEK indicator lead wired to the jump starter terminals and exits through the plenum close to wiper and zip tied in place so you can see it without lifting the bonnet. Once the amber LED is visible I charge it as most of my journeys are local, 10-20 miles.

My Bluetooth became much more unstable after 4.1.4 and keeps disconnecting every 3 to 5 seconds. It worked flawlessly before the update and never dropped… very frustrating!

Mine 2023 reg , 24MY took a couple of attempts to install the update on 12 June with the last one being successful. ( Charged battery again and used CTEK charger all day before and overnight) my car displayed same screen as on video, ie no info at end but after about 2 mins of the car "clicking away" it eventually showed the version number and the date of update. Nice video and good products, currently waiting for DHL do deliver my first order from yourselves. Keep up the good work. Thanks very much

After this update I was logged out of my inControl account and I had to log in and choose a PIN. I am now presented with a PIN pad on the screen when I get in. The thing is, whether I enter the PIN or not, it doesn't seem to make any difference. I seem to be able to start, and drive without any problem. I thought they had integrated an imobiliser to help with the insane level of LR theft, but it doesn't seem so. Any information on what the PIN is supposed to do?

This update killed my 110 screen. The update started and never finished. Not the screen only has a LR logo, so dim you can just about make it out. Have to wait 6weeks for a dealer to be able to look at it.

My 2023 90 went into the dealers for the security update and an update to cure an issue with the 48v battery charging on Friday - assured it would be done while I waited and it should take 30 minutes maximum - 2.5 hours later a driver took me home as the update for the security system bricked one of the ECUs for the electronic power steering and the technicians couldn’t get the steering back without help from the JLR software team ………… collected the car at 3pm Monday but the steering feels heavier than before the update so will check in the settings to see if I should risk it bricking again by setting it to the lighter setting…….

It is really strange, i haven't been receiving any updates since February 2023. I even told my dealer that this was an issue and i wanted the latest one, but they said they couldn't update it!! With their words, car is not showing any updates even with their machine connected.

ok, so post the upgrade I now have to enter a PIN every time I fire up the beast. Also the sunroof blind does not now automatically retract on start up, even though I have activated this in the settings menu.
