Good info and very good vlog. yes, usually it's kind of scam everywhere if you go for lease, they waive charges if you sign another lease on newer model. Better to go self finance if like the vehicle for next 5 years and sale it if like to change. Always a loss in any case due to high depreciation in value in North America but positive thing is to enjoy the features in new versions.
Next time don’t lease for more than 36 months and try to sign up for 15k miles/yr which will keep you at 45k miles and that will be typically within the warranty period. Most vehicles have warranty upto 50k miles. For any unused miles you can get a refund…Also, the dealer would have am sure offered to write off some of the costs if you were willing to lease/buy another vehicle (not just from LR, but other brands too…most car companies will start sending you offers for their brands as early as 6 months before your lease expiry and willing to buy out your remaining lease)….Also, never buy out the leased vehicle, coz you are paying the full sticker price as well buying a vehicle with relatively obsolete tech and most imp paying for it, ex, android auto/apple car play, heated seats, blind spot monitoring or led lights used to be features 3-4 yrs back that would cost you a fortune, now they are pretty much std on all cars…
