When I go to the website via your link, it has an area to select “AC core”. I have a 2016 LR4 w the Harman Kardon system like you. Which AC core did you select? It’s a bit confusing.

Hi Brian! The hardware and software have changed since i bought mine. It’s all updated. Hopefully it’s all even better. Back then, they didn’t even have the AC panel for LR4 so mine is what the car came with. I also don’t think you’re require to change that if you don’t want to. Also, my system is not Harmon Kardon. Mine is Meridian. I guess Land Rover decided to change the head unit in 2015 or 2016 to HK. My LR is 2014. I would ask the seller directly. Sorry I’m not much help in this case. Good luck! 🍀

My LR4 was longer in maintenance... i can't remember the password für admin advanced settings? something with 888xxx or 666 i think. Any idea?

Does this work with offline Maps ? or do I need to always keep my phone connected ?

Thanks! Very helpful video. Do you know any unit which will not lose the controls in the center? Of course that would be a smaller screen than this…but thats fine.

Hello! I’ve seen options with smaller screens on AliExpress. I just don’t know if they’re as integrated as this one. You may lose access to your original Land Rover Menus. But I’m not sure!

How well does the screen dim for nighttime driving? Does it dim, or does it invert (white to black sort of)?

It inverts for sure. I don’t remember if it dims or not. Never bothered me. I don’t have the SUV to try it and tell you. Sorry about that. Also their new version might support dimming if the old one didn’t.

Hi, thanks for the video! I just want to know, seeing that the volume and power buttons are removed, can you only change the volume on the steering controles? And is there any way of putting the system on if the vehicle isn't on? Seeing that the on button is removed. Thanks

Hello! NP! Yes. the steering buttons work to change the volume and change the song.

Can you tun CarPlay, and have a passenger play music from their phone plugged unto unit’s USB at the same time?

I don’t think so. AirPlay uses WiFi and Bluetooth to connect to the phone. I don’t think it’s design to connect multiple usb/bluetooth to the head unit at the same time. I would try it for you but I sold the SUV. Ran out of room at my house…

I had the same package on mine and worked just find. You basically go through the car/original menus to access the cameras. So no change there.

Hello great video. I realize you do not have the car anymore but do you know if you can still run the rear entertainment system with this screen?

Hi!! I didn’t have to cut anything. There a clock module that you take out to make room for the double din screen. That’s what i had to do. You can compare my dashboard with the original LR4 dashboard to see the difference. Please let me know if i didn’t understand your question well. Thanks

I sold the car and i don’t remember ever trying it. I think the CD changer mechanism is below the screen and i didn’t remove it. I imagine that you have to access the CD Changer from the Land Rover menus, not Android menus. Ask the seller to be sure when you’re ready to buy one :-)
