That triton is insane! Sure, there isn't much of it left, but seeing something different from the usual Nissan's and Toyota's is a fresh change. Would love to see more of it ❤
I gotta say TJ that's the best subliminal advertising I've seen on a RU-vid channel, so much better than having products pushed in your face or well and truly over advertised. Its not even slightly annoying the way you do those kmc pop ups🤘
Yikes 😮 man this is nuts looking at this scenery...tbh I don't know if I could afford to potentially break this amount of kit 😂. My old n70 needs to be babied everywhere now it's 350,000kms old (head, injectors & gizzards replaced at 250,000!). These rigs are insane! Thanks to all of you 👍✌️🙏
@@macpreston haha you’ve got sliders you’ll be right. in all honesty tho you’d do it, winch v rock which 95% of the cars that drive 6 have to winch there
Honestly I'm kind of board with the 79 land cruisers in general as a serious off roader, we all know they have their good points but I will say, macca you got a nicely built rig and honestly drives way better and more stable than most. The typical landcruiser is generally a 3 wheeler with the 4th in the air. Yours however is way more balanced and grounded. Nice driving. 👍😀
Thanks mate! Haha yeh they normally enjoy flying high 😂 I’ve put a fair bit of work into making the front work well aswell as adding the rear sway bar back into the mix made a world of difference!
Boys- killing it. Such good content. You’re getting good at this. Big 79 getting thrown around is sick. Nice to see some positive JL talk- most Aussie’s laugh at JL/JT’s then they just crawl past on a bolt on lift and 35’s 👀
@@macpreston absolutely unreal. I’ve never seen this kinda stuff out here in Canada. Been wondering how a guy would make that work on a Jeep, and boy did he deliver! Bloody impressive and clean, love it
Would be gold to see same cars driven by different drivers. Just to show that while the build is an important part, the experience and skill behind the wheel is crucial. I imagine it would help new/young shed lifers.
Good call👍🏻 Driver skillset can make a big difference. And a well equipped vehicle can get a crap driver into more trouble than his skill can get him out of.
Saw that jeep down on the nsw south coast yesterday and was like damn that’s hot and now to see it not just at woolies is mental, also loved the twin voice over where both of you legends are having convos and breaking stuff down for us
Just curoius, why is the spare rear wheel on the back of Maccas cruiser slightly offset from the centre in terms of where it's mounted. Is it for better weight distribution with the driver?
37 trepador having so much ribs works miracle if dropped down to 5/6 psi and the difference between 10 and 6 is night and day difference. Great video guys.
Great video guys, love the content, love the hilux, some of your problems getting up big red are the lockers your using, they disengage if you roll back and take a half revolution to engage again, personally i prefer the air locker tjm being the pick but arb are also great. They dont disengage until you switch the off.
I'm sure I've seen the black cruiser on the road. This was epic boys, it's probably been at least ten years since I've been out glassy, health issues and shit, but this was pretty inspiring to get back out there!
Loving the content guys...Damn that Hilux is capable even the 2L/T, & the 75's ZF auto seems to make driveability on the trails smoother ....& remember no socks & crocs!
Shit yes I wanna see this rig more than one time TJ. That thing looks awesome n thanks for the little rundown on it. If I had the chance &. Some coin that’s what I’m gunna build
Super driving in Triton, Interesting though as Triton highly un road registerable in current form. Lots of buggies would do that with a greatvdriver likevhim.
Waiting for the Karen’s to start the hate for tj not having a winch line hooked up when backing down bug red 😂 love this ep lads keen to see more, would be sick to see the wildmn out there it’s a weap as well
TJ when you hit a point where both sets of wheels are bumping at the same time on those double humps try unlocking the rear but keep the front locked. What happens is the rear keeps trying to drive forward at the same time where the front needs to climb vertical. so unlock the rear climb with the front and once on top of the hump lock the rear back in. Otherwise nice driving a impressive rig.👍
I fully understand I I know she's all new to you as well, but the double bumping will honestly cause more shock load on the drivetrain and especially on the front. It causes the front to bite and dig while the rear is pushing it and causing it to bite down. Every vehicle is different and I could be wrong, or you may find unlocking the front and keeping rears locked may push you through easier. I guess what I'm saying is sometimes being double locked can put you in trouble. Otherwise impressive driving and rig. 👍😀
Cant fathom having the value of the 79 and treating it like that in that terrain. Case in point back rhs corner of tub, would much rather travel and see something with it.
Definitely ranger to their own! I just enjoy seeing how capable it is and the crazy places and tracks it can take me on! Most of the quarter damage was done down in Tasmania!
Oh s*** maybe I should have waited until the end of the episode before I started making comments, kind of feel like a jinxed you even though you probably did this a couple of weeks ago. Lol.
That jeep has the cleanest looking bar work I have ever seen. I suppose we Americans don't' do that because we can get away with high clearance flares and aftermarket lights
