Great approach, close to the island on your last leg. We always try to book left side seats.

I love looking down at the island from the plane while it's coming into land. Usually there twice a year, but sadly not been since February 2020. 😔

Sorry to hear that. Hope you're able to return soon. I suspect the pandemic will start to wane in earnest next year, and the world will enter a period of economic boom. History shows that tends to happen after major negative events like pandemics and wars.

I’ve tended to sit on the left side, as the plan from the Uk tends to fly north over the island before turning in to land.

It was an Airbus A350-1000. It’s unusual for VS to use the aircraft of this route, which made it more interesting.

Are you saying ‘into’ is the wrong word? The OED defines it as “expressing motion to a position within a space or thing”. That would seem to be the correct usage.
