I was here at this airport on August 18, 1961, was 11 years old, immigrating from Brazil to USA with my family. VARIG airlines used to still fly the Super Constellation then, this was the last technical stop on the way to Idlewild, NYC, now JFK.

Piarco Airport is actually in Piarco which is about 15km from Port of Spain. I know however it is customary for people to say "Piarco International Airport, Port of Spain". It's just becuase Port of Spain is our largest city.
