At the mission board: NASA mission planner: wait, so you want to send a person to Jupiter. Space one: precisely. NASA mission planner: and you realize that Jupiter is millions of miles away from earth. Space one: mm hmm. You realize this will take a decade. So? We have to pack enough food, water and oxygen for a person to survive in space for a decade. Okay? And it will be hard to fit enough fuel in the rocket to get them there when there's all those heavy supplies in the rocket. And? This rocket will be super heavy, and will most likely not get to orbit, and even if it does it will almost certainly not have enough fuel to get to Jupiter. What else? It's a one way mission, and I don't think that'll fly under our ethics committee, or the general public, or the astronaut's family. (I just realized the best part of his plan is that he will send a person to his doom) Yup. And there's a asteroid field that could potentially destroy the ship while it's on its way to Jupiter. Who cares? They might die before they reach Jupiter, from many potential causes, including going insane from isolation. Yep. And you want to _land_ on Jupiter, the _gas_ giant? Yesterday i have successfully landed on Mars

It would have been interesting to see whether the program gave a realistic prediction for at what ''depth'' the shuttle would achieve buoyant equilibrium, or float in Jupiter's atmosphere. Shouldn't it at some point, because the gasses get so compressed they become dense enough to float the shuttle?

I busted my ass off trying to land on Jupiter the other day and got surprised my lander just sinks through the terrain and then I realized i just tried landing on a gas giant

I think stef should add more detail to the solar system like all 8 planets including some dwarf planets, the astroid belt and stuff in the future

They need to fill the big gap with the asteroid belt. At least do that and add the rest of the planets and moons. Also, I wonder if he will add all of the dwarf planets

1- Jupiter would destroy the ship with gravity. People inside would be a puddle of jelly before you even get close to the surface. 2-The winds and the materials in the atmospher would destroy what gravity left of the ship. 3-There is a belt of asteroids that would crush the ship before you even get close to your destination. 4-You can't pack enough oxygen, fuel, food and water to get there. 5- People inside would probably suicide since a decade in space would make you depressed. ...but let's do it😅

Atleast they got that right People who don't know much about space:Jupiter is a GAS giant, it's not solid. So you would technically just float straight through Jupiter.

Jupiter has a solid core, meaning that if you (unlikely) get there you can actually land on it. But in this game it's core is made of gas and it tilts you as you're there, so I guess not.

I remember trying to land on Jupiter while i didnt know it was a gas giant, i was like confused when i got to the surface (Which Jupiter doesnt have) i went through it, i was like confused if that is a game bug, i researched about Jupiter and there it was a gas giant without a surface

Now do it without cheats. No way you enter Jupiter's atmosphere at 9k+ kph and NOT burn up.
