I bought the tickets during a Black Friday promotion. But usually Avianca’s tickets for REC-SSA are always reasonably priced. Almost always cheaper than Azul, which is a competitor on this route.

So what airline would you recomend for traveling from Fortaleza to other coastal cities?

Talking about destinations, Gol offers the most destinations from Fortaleza. I would prefer Azul, they offer great on-board service but are usually the most expensive option. No matter which airline you choose they offer good service. I kind of avoid LATAM because I like getting a little snack. So my ranking would be 1. AZUL 2. Avianca 3. Gol and 4. LATAM. By the way I don't really like Fortaleza and never really understood why so many people travel there.

I Agree, avoid LATAM , It was good before the fusion TAM and LAN(chile). Gol has an interesting frequent-fyler programam (Called SMILES), that is connected to main international companies, such as KLM-Airfrance, TAP etc. Flynatic, most people travel to there to visit Beach Park and near beaches like Jericoacara .
