Dick Rochfort is a Master Certified Flight Instructor providing excellent training, pre-purchase consulting, aircraft relocation and expert witness services to owners, pilots and instructors of the Piper PA46 aircraft. He holds ATP, Commercial and Gold Seal Flight Instructor Certificates with SEL, SES, MEL, CFII, MEI, and CE-525S ratings. Does running the trim towards the end really cause issues if you have a sudden deer, dart the runway and have to do a go round would you be trimmed too nose high?

Thank for your excellent question Tommy. The decision to land should be made prior to running trim. When done correctly the up-trim can assist the go around. It is a matter of deciding in a timely fashion to land. Fly Safely - Train Often .. DR
