Landler by Schubert and Rihm, by Alexander Lonquich 

Prior to the international expansion of the waltz, Ländler were the most common dances in Austria, south Germany and German Switzerland. With its characteristic 3/4 time, the genre went from its original rural context to the refined salons of Vienna, to a large extent through Schubert, remaining in collective ideas about sound to the present day.
