Starting off my channel with an upload of a video from several years ago trolling on Seneca Lake (one of the finger lakes in upstate ny). This was filmed on my old waterproof point and shoot camera so footage/audio aren't the best. I was trolling with a spread of 3 rods, the salmon was landed on a leadcore line which was down 6 "colors" or about 35 ft and about 200 ft behind the boat when it hit. Once I get some of my older videos edited and uploaded I will hopefully make new ones with my upgraded camera gear.....

Nice catch. I'll always take dead calm and a few less fish. Just so relaxing trolling on a day like that.

BRAVO on the release of such a beautiful and healthy fish. So many anglers insist on keeping every legal fish they can get their hands on, especially the big fellas. That mentality is so counter-productive. Unless you are trying to feed your family, of course. But in that case it would be cheaper to buy fish from the market. Sorry for the rant. Appreciate your attitude and hope it can eventually spread and even become the norm. Thanks for the video!!

Thanks for the comments, I do keep and eat some fish from Seneca but felt this guy was pretty special so I let him go!

Just so you know some of us actually fish/hunt to supplement our food and grocery bill. Nice to know people like you have money to throw food back into the lake! Must be nice... by the way I'm part Native American. My ancestors would fish those and other waters to provide food for their families. And to this day we take what we need from the land and nothing more. Buying food from grocery stores is more cruel than harvesting your own naturally, the way nature intended

Awesome salmon That is my home lake that I grew up on we catch them quite frequently They are a total blast and they fight till the end clearing water and diving for the prop Congrats on your PB We should hook up some time and I'll show you some really hot fishing spots for salmon and big big Browns

Thanks this was my first upload to youtube! Fishing has been tough on Seneca last few years so not too much footage but hopefully 2022 will be a good one and I can get another crack at one like this!!

Beautiful calm day. Perfect for kayak fishing too. Is your boat a Boston Whaler? It would be cool to show off it’s design along with more of your fishing.

I believe that was a DreamWeaver spoon, dolphin was the pattern if I remember right. Seneca can be tough for sure but there are some quality fish in there. Thanks for wathcing!!

I don't have a kicker so I'm limited in speed control. I go anywhere between 2-3 mph, I try to stay between 2.5-3 mph. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching BTW!!
