I lived in Landstuhl from 1974 to 1981. I live in the U.S.A. now in Texas 2017. I really miss Landstuhl Germany. Thank you for this video. it sure brings back lots of memories when I was a child.
I lived in Machenbach 82-84 US Air Force Rammstein airbase used to go to Landstuhl to the movie theater to some of the restaurants on the main street used to like to go up to the castle for the view I was in love at the time itwas romantic and fun,I also remember the Christmas market enjoyed my two years in West Germany, Thank you to the German people for your hospitality
Starting at Landstuhl and going west was called Flak Alley in WW2. Many Americans died there. At Kindbach, the Americans low-level divebombed, on a clear day, a white hospital train painted in red crosses. There were body parts all over Kindsbach.
The Hospital, on top of the hill, was a Hitler Youth Camp and before that a cavalry post. My sons went to elementary school there from 1979 to 1981. We lived in Kindsbach and I worked in the bunker.
I lived in Landstuhl from 1971-1976. It would be great if you could have a video of the army base at the top of the hill. I lived in building 3856, apt F. I went to the elementary school.
