This is such a gift. My favourite on his spring set. This song just takes me into another woorrrrlllld. It’s heavy and fun at the same time. Dan wrote about his doubts in his creativity recently but he continually nails it musically and makes these addictive sounds. Love his work.

I'm going to explain what this song (paired with the title) means to me, as a woman. I'll be breaking this into several comments so that it's easier to read. 👍The song starts off with a calm, almost somber tone til about the 2 minute mark. This reminds of how a lot of the time/in the past women are/were expected to be quiet and just be passive. On the other side of the coin, it reminds me of a mother's soft love to a small child. Once we hit the 3 minute mark, the tone shifts into a more powerful/upbeat and "warm" feeling. I'm not sure how to describe that-but it's like coming out of winter and hitting spring head on. It sounds full of youth and strength, like generations of women from the 70s to now taking power and gaining a stronger voice than our counterparts of the past did.

this is definitely THE TRACK of 2023 so far... yeah? so so good...
