Ооооооо, как круто! Привет из России! ❤🇷🇺🥰. Прекрасно выглядите. Смотрю сейчас СБ. От игры Лейна просто в восторге. Очень красивый , как его любит камера. Вы потрясающие. 🙏
Dang! Lane Davies is still hot! I've always had a thing for him. And Nancy looks gorgeous! She was always one of my favorite daytime actors! This was great! Thanks for posting it!
BISOUS
A great interview! Back when SB was on, we, Mason & Julia fans, sort of got the short end of the stick with stuff like this, so it makes an interview extra special. Mason and the Mason/Julia relationship were never the same after Lane’s departure. Even if Mason was never actually folding diapers, Lane’s opinion on the character getting too domesticated is something I 100% agree with. Mason was such a great character that got much less interesting when he was too domesticated, under the recasts.
This was a fantastic interview. I absolutely ADORED Santa Barbara & this was an absolute treat. The way Nancy so nonchalantly said they slept together & had a little fling was so hilarious & why I love her so. She speaks her mind unapologetically. lol LOVE IT!
In its prime, Santa Barbara was the greatest soap EVER. I always wondered if Lane Davies would ad-lib Shakespeare quotes, especially in his dealings with C.C. The chemistry between Mason and Julia really was amazing. I also enjoyed watching Mason and Robin Matson as Gina! I will always remember Mason and Julia as two characters who loved each other deeply, and who were passionate, devoted, and could fight and make up faster than you can say Tracy and Hepburn in "Adam's Rib".
this was great. love seeing Lane and Nancy together again telling old stories. i would love to see A Martinez and Marcy Walker interviewed together. great job Michael.
Original Mason and Julia reunion. Brilliant. About time Lane Davies returned to General Hospital reuniting him and Nancy Lee Grahn like bringing Mason and Julia back together again. Part of the Santa Barbara cast reunion marking the 40th anniversary plus to remember the passing of Santa Barbara co creator Bridget Dobson who recently passed away.
What a great interview, hug fan of Eden&Cruz but I loved Mason and Julia, they played very well together, thanks for the interview! Now the same interview with Marcy and A, please, my dream...
Amazing that Marcy will be attending the reunion. If parts were streamed/filmed, I would donate to the fundraiser to watch. Unfortunately up in Canada so not able to attend in person.
What did Lane mean when he said that Marcy has been through so much in the last two years? Was something wrong with her? One person had mentioned that she had lost her son and also had breast cancer, do you know if this is true?
Lane Davis was my first teenage crush. Because he was witty snarky and beautiful. And I wanted to be Julia. Not just because she was with Mason but also because she was a beautiful independent woman. Still love them. ❤
I have often wondered what happened to Lane Davies. He's the greatest! Wish he would be and soap again. Also love Nancy from the Santa Barbara Days. Maybe Lane Davies back on soaps, on Days as a new character?
Regarding the folding of the diapers... uh... let's just say I've been around long enough to know not to get in the middle of an argument between these two! 😆 Thank you Michael for doing this, I am so looking forward to the reunion in a few weeks. It is going to be an epic memorable evening.
Santa Barnaba was Awesome, Wish they would comeback as Head of Cap wells as Mason and Julia Capwells and bring back Eden and Cruz and Kelly and new kids as next generation. Well I can Dream!!!!! Its the only Soap i watched tell the end when i became a late night showing.
The show built up Mason and Mary so much that it was really hard recovery for Mason, but Mary's influence had changed Mason so much that he couldn't help but to try to love and take care of women. It was really Julia who fell so hard for this new Mason that her character became pathetic (as before she was so tough, but after she was a softy, which I think Mason wasn't attracted too the new soft version as much as the hard as nails Julia). Their relationship endured so many obstacles. I hated how they portrayed Julia though... as the OTHER woman breaking up a marriage. And they both seemed to be falling apart for a while, messy hair, looking tired, etc.... Julia became so dependent on Mason, and Mason become so distant. I hated that. It felt like the more desparate Julia got, the further away Mason got. That would have worked better if it had been Mason growing more desparate and Julia becoming the distant one.... due to Julia being the other woman. I like Mason and Julia together but it was hard to watch Julia's desparation and Mason's coldness.
Nancy grhan was spot on when she said soaps dont think anyone has an attention span..i miss long character driven meaty scenes ..they dont write them any more tho...main reason i dont watch anymore..the scenes are shorter then 30 seconds...how can one invest in that???...
Nancy was being diplomatic about the show changing at the end..but ill say it the show was total garbage the last few years...from 84 till about 89 it was gold...esp 85 to 87!!!
I came on board with the "Kelly and Jeffrey on-the-run" storyline. I later learned that Ms. Wright had been eager to move on from SB but had to honor her contractual obligation having been given time off from SB to film "The Princess Bride." Felt the writers botched their love story by having Kelly have an affair with T.J.. Would've been better to have just killed off Jeffrey in a heroic way while recasting Kelly and setting a new course with her character. Quality of the show cratered by the early nineties. When I found out Cruz was later paired with Eileen Davidson as Kelly, I realized the show had completely lost its way. My memory of the relationship between Kelly and Cruz was that they were like very close siblings/friends.
