@@Steve_MP5 Awesome, thank you. Looking at one of these myself, reports on reddit said there can be some wobble when extended. Thanks for your experience.
@@Hingle_McCberrywhat they may be talking about is the arm piece connecting to the hinge did come a tad loose after that session. It made it feel like the stock was wobbling at the hinge but it was not. I had to tighten the arm as it had a slight wiggle. Fixing this is a drop of blue lock on those 2 screws.
I just got my LTT 1301. Very nice setup. For those of you who decide to buy the foldable Chisel Stock it strikes the receiver when you fold it. It will mar the finish at the M of Made in Italy. Unfortunately the stock doesn't stop before it meets the side of the shotgun. Update - I had the Chisel removed and had a Magpul installed.
@@DPham1 I didn't like the stock landing on the receiver when I would fold it. I feel strongly that it should stop before it hits the gun. When I complained to Langdon Tactical they put a disclaimer on their website that this stock can cause minor cosmetic damage to their 1301shotgun.
@@sphhwy115 yeah, that's unfortunate. I also heard that their customer service can be less than stellar. Sounds like the Magpul SGA stock is still the way to go
Eh, that's the part you cover with the velcro for the shot card anyway. (Yeah, I know you can't put the shot card on there and fold the stock. But you can after you extend it and go to work.)
I love the Chisel stock. After a number of rounds, had issues with the hinge closing on recoil when shooting 00 and slug rounds. End up replacing the folding hinge with a fixed unit from Mid-West (who makes the foldable STEP hinge). No more issues and it works great now.
I went with the Aridus stock and handguard. I love the textured handguard. I use the Aridus M-LOK points for my sling adapter and a weapon light. I ditched the barrel band. No need with the Aridus adapter.
I love the Chisel stock. After a number of rounds, had issues with the hinge closing on recoil when shooting 00 and slug rounds. Did not want to pay for the upgrade to a Sig hinge, so end up replacing the folding STAP hinge unit with a fixed STAP unit from Midwest Industries (who makes the foldable STAP hinge). No more issues and it works great now.
Have a Benelli M4 with pistol grip. Prefer the Magpul stock on my 1301. How does the Chisel stock on the 1301 compare to the Magpul? Am undecided. Also how are you mounting a Holosun 509T on the Chisel RMR mount?
I have an LTT 1301 gen 2 with the magpul stock. I like it. The newer stuff is nice too. However, i also have the benelli M4 with the extended mag tube and collapsible skeletonized stock. I honestly have a tough time choosing. The m4 feels solid. That gas system in the m4 is proven and will work in all temperatures and climates. It cycles more like an AR platform rifle. The blink system in the 1301 is good and fast. Both are phenomenal semi auto shotguns, though, and it could just boil down to the preference of the user. The little extra weight on the m4 mitigates some recoil. The m4 cycles heavy loads really good. I've got both. You can't go wrong with either one. Im happy for ya enjoy that shotgun its great. Another one thats coming along is those genesis arms gen 12 magazine fed shotguns. Thats the best magazine fed shotgun with that AR platform setup if thats what ya like. They all cylce well and having to choose is tough. The extra weight doesn't bother me i view it as making me tougher. Either one would get the job done in a defensive situation. I will add benelli seems to be much slower on change and thats not always a bad thing some of these things change so much ya feel like ya got to keep up with all the latest and greatest of everything. All it takes is one shot with a 12 guage and most threats would be neutralized.
I'll bet that thing kicks like a Rented Mule, compared to a Benelli M4. I have the 1301 Mod 2 with the pistol grip stock and it's bad enough. I can't imagine with that skeletonized stock.
