Hey Nitro. I am a big fan of your videos and what you present to the Langrisser M community. Its hard to find decent content for this game. I would just like to present a counter argument to you stressing that people should not gamble on SSR gear. I would just like to state that in some cases gambling can be more efficient in the long run than not gambling. If you are just focusing on upgrading a few core pieces I agree just buying those martial spirits is the way to go. However I find that once you get to a certain point it actually important and more cost effect to roll those SSR weapons. I will use myself as an example. I hit a certain point where for my Ledin I had spent all my ore on epic martial spirits and upgraded my ledin to full 6 star ssr gear. My cherie had a 6 star last knight. and i had 2 leveled 2 ssr trinkets to 6Star. At this point I had my other characters with 6 star SR weapons etc etc. I had random SSRs from dragons at this point but I did not want to level them up because they were either minor upgrades at the time or good gear but for characters I wasnt using at the time and I wanted to wait till I got best in slot pieces for my active team before i spent my resources on it. Now at this point I argue it is worth it to gamble for SSR weapons. The reason I say this is there are a total of 33 possible weapons in the ssr pool. there are arguable 7-8 weapons that are generally accepted to be total trash and end up becoming 100 ores in which case you just spent 200 ore to get 100 ore (feels bad). However on the other hand there are an equal amount of weapons that are BiS for alot of units or certain weapons in this game that when gotten drastically boost your units power lvls ie ragnarok/ullrs bow. The others are usually all usable and interchangeable. At this point if you already have 1 or 2 ssr at 6 star to use for end game content (ie last knight) and you are not in a rush to level anything else rolling can actually save you ore in the long run. There are 4 out comes when you spend 200 ore to gamble for weapons. 1- you get one of those trash ssr at which point u just threw away 100 ore. 2- you get one of those super godly S tier weapons. At which point you are super happy and can stop gambling and focus on buying spirits and upgrading it. 3 you get a decent weapon which you will use later on but dont want to focus on at which point 200 ore is a fine price to pay. After a certain point of play you will not get new weapons since you will have gotten alot of them already. 3b. You roll a duplicate. This is where I would like to argue in the long run gambling is more cost efficent. If you are not in a rush to level up gear and have some 6 star SRs to use for the mean time rolling duplicates actually saves you ore because u will be spent 200 ore to upgrade a piece of gear instead of 300 the majority of the time you gamble. Please note that I am not saying gambling for SSRs is the way to go. I am saying there are certain points in the game where gambling is more efficient than buying martial spirits. With martial spirits you are paying a 100 ore premium to be able to select what gear you want to upgrade. If you are chasing 1 or 2 specific weapons (in my case ullrs and extreme magic bow) and don't mind getting duplicates of items you have not worked on yet but will use later on gambling is a lot more cost efficient on average. I say average because you could have bad luck and constantly roll one of those 7-8 super useless weapons.
I think it makes sense for what they call late game, quite like you say. I’m at the point where my team has fully or nearly fully upgraded items. I don’t want to put more into a lot of the rest of the items I have since they’re not BIS and I’m not sure I want to invest more in many of my secondary units rn.
I'm looking for information on Item pools. For example do the SSR items in the Equipment store come from the same pool as the Memory essence store? Also it seems certain dragons are more likely to drop weapons and others armor. Not sure if you have any information on this.
All that information is in game. For Dragons, go to the dragon screen, press the "I" to get the information menu. In the store, for the equipment screen, SSRs use red ore (orichalcum) while SRs use Grey ore (mithril) use the red ore. Memory essence is a separate screen using a different ore (yellow, created from breaking down hero shards)
@@Nitroglycerine Thanks, I really am looking for Ullr's bow and apex boots I see I can try sweeping the Dragons for that but it doesn't look like you get accessories from them. I guess I just need some super luck for that.
@@Ferousfang1 Yep, accessories are difficult. I think I only got everything I needed in sufficient quantity this year (3rd anniversary). Accessories really just come from: - Event reward (usually 1). - Equipment Store: The monthly SSR for 1000 honor pts. - Equipment Store: Random SR boxes (300 honor pts) have a chance of a SSR. Something like 1 in 5 on average? - Another 2x chances if you got lots of spare memory shards (For F2P that basically means all your R and SRs are at 6*, and you are summoning every month).
Out of curiosity, why is it not worth it to buy SSR weapons from the store? If you can use duplicates to rank up the same way Epic Martial Spirit works, why not just try to get duplicates from there? And if you get a different SSR, then congratulations, you now have a new SSR.
Lv50 SRs = lv40 SSRs So to use SSRs you need them upgraded to lv40 at minimum. To have them truly be effective, they need to be Lv50. Gamble 3x = 600 ore. 2 epic martial spirits to bring am SSRs to lv40 = 600 ore. Basically, you will get new useful SSRs from the dragons faster than you can upgrade them to Lv50. Thus, there is no good reason to gamble, unless you are desperate to get a specific SSR. I rarely gamble for SSRs and I am still really struggling to max out my SSR gear for my top 5 characters.
Is it still efficient farming dragons even without the daily bonus? Never tried this since i found it inefficient. But if still drops orachulm oars then great!
Woah, this was six months ago an you were already level 55. Do you have a video for people just starting up? I'm pretty new, from lvl 1 to 25 it was pretty easy as everything was pretty much given to you, but then after 25 things got a bit hard, I don't even know what to do, I can't progress through the story, now I just log in to do the dailies, train 8 hours, and some time rifts with what little stamina I have left I guess lol. Also as I am really late, all the guilds are already full, well the good ones at least, there's legit like only 4 guilds left with space left in my server rippp
Case by case, SSR is equal or better starting 10-20 levels below. That number increases the higher level SR you’re comparing since SSRs have better stat growth. A level 20 (which you can always level to with just hammers and scraps) is about as good as a level 30 and a level 30 might be as good as a level 50. Note the importance of enchantments too. If the SSR’s a keeper, you can dump on it for a good enchantment so you can hand the SR down. Nitro said below that 40SSR = 50SSR and that’s been a decent rule of thumb for me before, but I just like to put a good enchantment on the SSR and level it until it seems better, often until it gives more points. I find that it’s often better sooner that way. Unless you’re at a point where SRs are much easier to max than an SSR, I’d get your main troops onto SSRs asap since the switch happens eventually for most units.
I usually cover that as the first thing in every nitro's setup video, at least how many SSRs I get in how many runs. On average, a level 65 fight is ~10 items = 1 SSR. So 8-10 runs for 1 SSR. But it's all luck based.
@@xfool nobody knows the actual chances of SSRs, but it is definitely the higher the level the better the chance. But really, once you have the secret realm blessing for a higher level, there's no reason to play a lower level version of it.
How do you have so much money, it cost so much to upgrade to lvl 50. Even killing all the goblins on the hardest difficulty I still find myself low on funds
I have to admit I bought gold from the Store Twice. So that's an additional 2.4M gold. Other than that, I basically never gambled on enchantments (almost every enchant used has been SR, rather than SSRs), and my training ground is not upgraded that much for the same reason. Saving all the gold to max out equipment first.
You have 18 ssrs at this level. For once im amazed of myself, at lvl 45 i have 15 ssr equipment. Not much luck on ssr heroes though, only 2 ssrs i use both in pve and pvp. Lol

Nitro GUESSES it is a 1/10 chance in acquiring an SSR item because it sounds about right... This isn't a bad thing. Because he bought 7 random accessory gift boxes and got one SSR item. So, it is only logical to safely assume that the average of acquiring an SSR accessory from the Random Accessory Gift Box is 10%
