Funny thing about this is folks in the comments think this is a full band battle between both the schools. This is a section battle...that tremendously exceptional run the Boom as a band had this year not gon get you an automatic W for the section battle. Both drum lines came with it. As a Langston alum, salute to my two favorites! The Juke is always in my top 3 too 😂
I love this aggressive JSU 💯💪🏾 They don’t dodge smoke from no one! Oh boy in the middle on Snare lost the whole battle for Langston…. Up there smirking, doing the wrong head movements, looking down while playing, and looking off into the crowd! You have to stay in character when you battle lines like WT 🤦🏾♂️
u must have clearly not seen ole boy inna middle on jsu thats no shade but if we gonna talk about sb not lookin the part we cant be bias and when your playing harder material u tend to make faces to make sure u lock in the part
@@byroncapalot3376 nah that’s moving the goal post my G…. Straight BS! It don’t matter how difficult the parts are! You’re suppose to stay in character, at attention looking like a soldier playing…. That’s band rule 101! I don’t wanna hear that excuse….and then on top of that, he’s the one rolling the cadences off! He should’ve had the most discipline and correct movements on the line! PERIOD!!!
@@byroncapalot3376 and since you wanna compare…. The boy in the middle on JSU side(a crab) had more composure than boy in the middle for Langston(the section leader) 🤷🏾♂️ You know I’m right and the evidence is as clear as an eclipse! 🎯 You didn’t see these amateur moves from Dega! Dega stood on business like you’re suppose to 💪🏾
@@kingbigshot3281nah gang u tripping look at LU material its way choppier than wt and thats no shade texas style is just consists of more choppier material
@@byroncapalot3376flams and simple rudiments don’t equal chops. But we also can’t just look at the snares either. Gotta look at the rest of the line too and what they are playing….
I been saying this lol I love chopping material and a good battle consist of choppiness, and groove in between also your showmanship also the final thing here fine tuned drums snares sound so damn crisp ahhhh music to my ears
There is nothing to hide. Texas and Oklahoma are in the same region anyway. It’s funny that you say that when the D.E.N. already gave the BOX a L last year. You’re giving hater vibes. Plus LU staff consist of SU, PV, and LU graduates. Don’t nobody care what you talking about.
@@teejay7149 "nobody cares about what you're talking about" while taking your energy and replying because you cared about what I posted.... yeah foolishness. Go have a seat 😂
I don't mind JSU snares but those quints are doing a but too much and they need tonal basses for more verity. I know that they won't change basses because it's a long standing swac thing.
Thsts what I’m thinking they already playing more choppier material than WT they have the type of line and style to do it I’m just listening closely to what is being played they have the potential to add tonals I love a fully line with all the drums included it shows diversity and harder material to execute. Having just show basses, quints, snares, and cymbals isn’t enough for me
JSU cadences are so simple like high school and they are sloppy. How can you say they won anything? Compare these drumlines to Cold Steel and you'll see the difference if you not a homer from the swac.
Ain’t no bias doc 😂 LU still got some growing to do…. Starting with the section leader on snare making immature decisions in battle 🤷🏾♂️ If you’re gonna come at JSU you gotta come correct like Dega did!
@@organizednoise9614…No they are just fine. They’ve grown enough to be hanging in there with JSU. The thing is JSU people tend to be delusional at times like SU people.
The cognitive dissonance is real here LU was cleaner, played actual material with phrasing and articulation, and provided impactful visuals that aligned eith the arrangements Jsu was very repetitive and nkt as clean(tuning for practicality over tradition and preferences open those doors) Jsu snares are nice as always tho! Multi tenors were elementary but effective. Not enough to win a battle LU snares came to play. Theyve been in the mirror and around each other
Sooooooo clearly DEN. The precision was scary. The stick movement on that snare line and the clean sound of the heads. Then the kids declared it. They wanted to stand next to the DEN.
...that wasn't the reason...that was planned already....the Dude over Langston called them over & situated them....🤣🤣🤣.....I've never seen a High School Drum Section mix it up with a College Line...
@@jsutigers8954 yeah I imagine Jackson State doesn’t do recruitment. I have never seen JSU run off from battles like this… I guess it is a first time for everything. Good to know though.
@@mrdrummajor98 runoff ??. .if it's time to go home - it's time to go...Recruitment???....checkout - the day with da Boom 2024...over 500 High School Band Members from all over the USA...from Cali tin between to Maryland attended ....lol
Time to get rid of them System Blue Drums please! Get some Pearls or Dynasty or if you want to stay with Ludwig brand get the Performance Series Drums. But get rid of them System Blue Drums. They don’t thump. Sure they are light weight but the sound suffers.
