Love your enthusiasm and passion :) Massive congrats on your progress, and honestly, a video covering how you learned a language in 15 years would probably be an interesting watch xD It might not be viral material, but the realness of it and relatability of your story and experience could be neat to hear. Best of luck with the rest of your 2023! Thanks for sharing your journey with us ^^

Great video! I'm all in for the positive mindset and being open to different approaches. I'm at 280 h of Spanish CI, so I wanna get to at least 300 h at the end of the year. I'm also using DS, but I'm not a purist or anything. I enjoy reading early and I think it helps tremendously with my comprehension. I just got a big motivation boost a few days ago, when I was able to understand 50 %+ of a native Spanish video about comprehensible input (from Mr. Salas). I mean it was still extremely hard and a lot of things went over my head, but that I even was able to somewhat follow along, was an amazing feeling. Cheers!

I read as well, I love DS but definitely not a purist just like yourself. It's so motivating when you watch native material and you are right there, kind of hanging on by a thread for what you understand, but there is still a place you have to get to.

Really enjoyed the video, as usual! Kind of like you, I picked Spanish back up recently because I feel like I’m just so close to something and need to keep pushing. For me, it’s so close to the point of actually being able to enjoy the language. I can easily understand pretty much all of the Superbeginner and Beginner Dreaming Spanish content I’ve tried but I just can’t quite enjoy the intermediate videos or familiar shows and movies. I’m not far off, but they are still just a little too incomprehensible to be fun. I’m focusing on consistency at the moment and have averaged over an hour of Spanish immersion every day since 12/1. I would love to do more, and some days I do, but I know the bigger thing for me right now is consistency so that’s what I’m focusing on.

It's so tough when you feel like you are just right there. Sounds like you're making great progress! Thanks for watching!

Always somewhere to go with learning! Doesn't matter if it's your native or target language!
