It doesn’t have to be rocket science. Duolingo makes learning a language fun with game-like lessons in 35+ languages. Learn free on the world’s #1 education app.
Memes aside, this advertisement is actually pretty interesting, I like how they included characters that are actually featured in the app. It would kind of remind me of a theme song or jingle or something.
Yeah i like it! Duolingo announced that they were trying to develop their characters to have their own personalities and relationships with each other, and expand on that in stories and other features to be more consistent across the board.
Hi! I know you might find this weird, but I’m a Christian, and I try to spread the good news of God to people. Would you mind talking with me about Jesus? Also, I can try to answer any questions you have! Have a good day!
Sent someone to space, turned someone to ice, smoke gas someone to now t breath and threw knives and barricades so they don’t escape.. yes that all happened in the ad

@@justaspectator9762 if by advertisement you mean it’s commercial, it’s not. I don’t make any money from it. I’m trying to do something far more important, do you know what?
In my personal opinion, I believe Duolingo is really good at teaching the Romance Language Family (Spanish, French, Italian, Romanian, and Portuguese) because they all have very similar grammar to English and use the latin alphabet. However, languages that have a new alphabet and different grammar, Duolingo’s style of teaching doesn’t fit as well. In languages like Japanese that have very different grammar and entirely new concepts like tone and combining letters to great new characters, you really need more than one source for this. Duolingo themselves even recommend serious language learners to not use Duolingo alone for Japanese and Chinese. The Duolingo team is always working on making their language learning more affective, so I choose to support them nonetheless 👍 And you have to admit, the characters and visuals are adorable! :3
Most of the European languages fit in well with Duolingo's teaching style. Greek too has many similar alphabets to English, many words are literally the same.
...... I’m too scared! ...... ... that’s it! I’m planning to do duolingo 300 hours nonstop and break the world record! This is the power of determination!
Maybe if you beseech the owl fluently in the language you're learning, it might have mercy. Do not make a mistake or you will lose a heart (and you only have one)
Rating duolingo characters Lin: Very cool hair style, she is very similar to his grandma Lucy (8/10) Vikram: I like how he keeps his charisma, he's always smiling (10/10) Eddy: It has a good design but as a character I find it quite... meh (6/10) Oscar: Absolute BOSS (32817387279813/10) Lily: She is her own aesthetic, very good look but I don't really like that she always seems in a bad mood (7/10) Zari: I don't care if she likes pineapple on pizza, she's one of the best duolingo characters (10/10) Lucy: A very cute grandma (9/10) Bea: According to my theory, she is the owner of the Duolingo owl (8/10) Junior: Eddy's son, I don't have much to say about him (6/10)
(Lyrics) When language learning gets hard … _make it fun!_ When your head is exploding, your confidence eroding, when life becomes a strain on your body and your brain, there’s a trick to keep on learning: _make it fun!_ When you make a small mistake, and you really need a break, no secret or liquor will get you there quicker; Language learning is hard, so we made it fun!
Please please make an Icelandic Course, Duolingo! I love Duolingo, but I can't use it with the third language I'm learning because it's not an option yet : ( I beg of thee, get people on Icelandic!

Very interesting! I personally recommend everyone try learning Chinese! It's a great language that opens up a lot of doors! It's actually much easier than you think!
i’m trying to learn it but it’s hard for me lmao maybe it’s because i’m using both duolingo and learning it at school??? they’re at different paces so idk
yes, Chinese is just as hard for people from Japan to learn as English, for example, so you won't feel discouraged by people of other languages learning quicker

@ThePizzaPerson no I didn't watch it in the shower I bring my phone in the shower and sit it on the toilet and I put my speaker next to it and I listen to music
Lol good commercial but I have to make a joke "Language Learning Is Hard, and it's hard to keep you motivated, so we made an owl that will practically scare you into doing your lessons!"
Viewers warning ⚠️: This anomaly creature you have been watching is known as SCP- 2011 or "Duolingo bird" classified as Keter class, the asset is still on the lose. Be alert at all times and don't lose your daily streak
I agree with the general populous on the matter of the hearts feature being unfun. I get it’s part of getting people to buy the premium subscription or whatever but it sorta ruins the fun when it feels like I’m being punished for making a mistake, it doesn’t make me wanna buy premium, it makes me wanna stop using the app.
Hang in there! I love DuoLingo, but I also suggest you check out the app store for radio apps that let you listen to radio broadcasts from other countries, in addition to watching videos and such in your target language on RU-vid. Podcasts in your target language can be helpful if you can find them (try searching "Turkish" in podcasts). You might also want to look at the app HelloTalk, which lets you find people who speak your target language and are trying to learn yours. (Be careful, because there are guys who seem to think HelloTalk is another version of Tinder. I've still met some really cool people on there, though.) I suggest this as supplement to Duo, but who knows, you may do better learning that way. Best of luck!
Let me count the injuries in this commercial (IMPORTANT NOTE: This comment is a joke. Its not meant to insult or offend anyone) 0:04 Bea's head inflates and floats up, then inevitably reaches the vaccum of space and pops. 0:07 Lin sweats and then freezes while thinking about statistics inside of the walk-in freezer, and then splits in half. 0:15 Lily got a question wrong, then was out of hearts. Duo noticed this and made her breathe in the fumes of a rocket as punishment. 0:17 Oscar went insane, climbed a mountain and screamed, and got struck by 2 lightning bolts.
In all seriousness, Duolingo is such a great program for language accusation. It's really the best thing out there if your trying to learn a new language.
I had Duolingo for 2 years now doing the spanish course. I didn’t really like it so I stopped going on the app. Just recently came back and I changed my course to German and IM LOVING!!! GERMANS SO FUN TO LEARNNN!! I LOVE YOU AND ENVY YOU GERMAN FOLKS
While the commercial is catchy, I will point out that just because you MAKE it fun, that does NOT mean your target audience will necessarily understand whatever language they decide to take with any more proficiency than say taking an actual language class. There are people who just aren't meant to learn another language, trust me I know, I took Spanish in high school (one semester) and American Sign Language in college (two semesters) and I spent more time trying to figure out what others were saying than actually being able to learn to speak the language(s) with any real proficiency. Basically what I'm saying is that for those who have taken classes in foreign languages and couldn't grasp them in person, why would they think learning a language through an app would make a difference?
This is what was lacking from my Japanese Teacher. His lessons aren't fun which gave me a hard time to understand his lessons. It's so stressful. I just wish he can make his lessons easier and fun to help his students understand better.
