After viewing some 25 or so interviews of Lanny over the past 5 years or so, I can honestly say that my opinion of him is that he is a very decent, intelligent and mostly honest man. He has an insight to life that is well balanced in terms of the realities of business and his own sense of kindness and humanity. Flawed...? Yes. But who isn’t???
Lanny poffo cut a great promo. Had an excellent athletic ability, had a great physique, I think the reason why he didn't get a bigger push is because he was such a nice guy he would sell for the other wrestlers too much and it made him appear to be weak

I had a hard time liking Lanny, I did more so as a heel but I really think he underestimated how much his voice hurt him. He should have taken vocal training and hardened his voice. It's hard to take him seriously as a wrestler during a promo with that voice. Sorry Lanny your a stand up guy it's just in entertainment sometimes the unusual works, Neil Young for example, but other times not so much.
