“A few days back, I visited Lansdowne, Uttarakhand, with my friends. It’s a very clean, nice, and peaceful area. Today, I’m sharing some memories and information in this video. Firstly, while heading to Lansdowne, we stopped at the famous SIDHIBALI MANDIR , known for its grand Bhandara (community meal or feast). My friend told me that people often wait for 2-3 years to participate in this Bhandara due to its popularity.
After visiting the temple, we checked into our cottage at Windsor Cottages, which offered quick and delicious kitchen service. For five people, we paid ₹10,000 in total for two days, after receiving a discount.
Next, we visited the famous Bhulla Taal Lake, where we paid ₹150 per person for entry (₹750 total), including a 15-minute boat ride. We also tried archery, paying ₹20 per person (₹100 total) for four shots, and took some photos.
Then, we headed to the historic St. Mary Church, built in 1896 during the British era. Finally, we explored the area known as Mall Road, although locals informed us that it’s not an actual mall road, but rather a street with some restaurants and shops. After that, we returned to our cottage. Then, my friends and I spent quality time together. It was a wonderful family-friendly trip and extremely safe, given its location within an army area. The peaceful atmosphere was an added bonus. I’m already planning to visit again, but next time with my family. I hope you enjoyed my video!”
