Laos Vang Vieng Part 2 

Vang Vieng is a small town in Lao.
There are 2 options to get there.
How to get there
1. From Vientiane to Vang Vieng by Mini Van (200k Kip) or Speed Train ( You need to book 2 days in advance for the ticket, since it's always full)
2. From Luang Prabang to Vang Vieng by Speed Train (Between 150k to 250k Kip) Do not take the mini van to vang vieng from Luang Prabang because the roads are really bad it takes between 5 to 6 hours.
Stay options
1. Hostels - usually between 4 to 6 US dollars for a decent hostel
2. Guest house - between 6 to 10 US dollars depending on the location and facilities. Basic room with fan is usually around 6 USD.
How to move around
1. Best is renting a scooter - usually between 6 to 10 USD. Be careful when renting a scooter in Laos. Always get disk lock or bike lock cable from the shop because bike get stolen often here and you'll end up paying 1000 to 2000 USD if the bike gets stolen. When renting a scooter always check for the bike tires condition as the roads are rough and you need a bike with good condition tires front and back
Blue Lagoons
They are all beautiful. It won't be clear if it rained the previous day or that day. So plan accordingly
Food
1. Food in hostels or hotels are between 5 to 6 dollars per dish
2. Best is local shops where one dish is between 1 to 3 dollars only. This is the best option.
