For me: that color. My favorite painting has always been 'the starry night' (van Gogh). And the shades of blues are similar. So I like looking at the stone, as if van Gogh colored it.

A large piece of lapis lies between our pillows in our bed•. I used it for my eye problems under my pillow in addition to other gemstones. But my husband thinks it helps him to fall a sleep quickly while his hand is on it😊.

Is it true that lapis lazuli has arsenic in it an it will harm me if I happen to get it wet ? I read a website that says I should not wear it if I have Diabetes or over weight ?? Is this true also ? If it is why isn't there a warning about it ? I am afraid to wear my lapis lazuli bracelets now .

I have a Lapis put back at a store I've shopped for 20 years and when people see it, they say omg...it GLOWS! I figure it's Afghani. I've collected gems all my life and have never seen one like it. Looking forward to picking it up.

Thank you Shannon. I read or heard that lapis was a sign of richness and stone for protection in Egypt and Roman Empire and not everybody could afford it. So the poorer people started imitating lapis in blue glass so they can be seen rich and protected from negative energy. That is how the glass evil eye 🧿 which is a very common negative energy/evil eye protector in the eastern world became so popular. One cannot find a baby without a glass or plastic evil eye 🧿 attached to his/her clothings in Turkey.😊

Good video: simple and direct. At different times in my life I attempted to obtain Lapis that I could be "intimate" with but, for whatever reason, whatever I obtained did not work well for me. About 3 or 4 years ago, however, I obtained some super quality Afghanistan material and had the beads strung in a long necklace. The lady who strings for me thought it was the finest Lapis she had ever seen: an exquisite Blue with a Violet overtone, and a beautiful presence of Pyrite. Since finding it and wearing it, I have obtained more Lapis, not of such a fine quality, but it all works well for me now. Once I obtained the finest level, the other levels seem to have fallen into place. Beautiful. Thank you.

Hiya I have a few lapis rocks... Love the blue... I find that when I use it for protection, it can zap my energy to protect myself versus other protection stones like tourmaline etc. Have you experienced this?

Great point! Lapis can be a very powerful stone. Sometimes the Revealing the Truth aspect can be so strong it's draining, so I personally take it in small doses, but some people wear Lapis 24/7 just fine. It's all unique experience. But I usually use Black Tourmaline for Protection.
