It’s a cute idea of lapis likening peridot but paridot is ace so they get into a relationship that’s different then normal relationships and haft to figure out how to make that work since peridot can’t fuse :D
honestly i don’t even want em to fuse , I would love to see their relationship be different from other couples and such shows how everyone perspective of love is different, at least that’s what I think idk not good with explaining things lol
I don't ship Lapidot. Sure they are good pals by future, but I dont see them as even slightly romantically involved. Plus, I just prefer to ship Amedot. Now would it make for a cool fusion? Do they have a nice dynamic? Are they both very fun characters? Yes, definitely, absolutely. Not so simply put though, Lapis has very little interest in interacting with Peridot throughout the series. She only gives her a chance because she sees Steven wants her to. And they do eventually get along, but Lapis is still very dismissive of Peridot in general for a long while. They develop a friendship where they have similar humor, but they both just tend to do their own thing. While, Amethyst and Peridot seem to have had a mutual respect and interest in interacting with one another overall. Amethyst and Lapis both are dismissive of Peridot on occasion though. However, usually when Amethyst is being that way shes doing so to everyone, no exceptions. Lapis on other hand, seems to never be dismissive of Steven, her exception, which already makes her actions odd. Almost like how Pearl was... *sigh * but I won't go there. I just see Lapis and Peridot as having a sibling esc. relation, being sisters that didnt want to share a room at first, but overtime grow to enjoy the shenanigans they can get into together despite their vast differences. Its like how Amethyst is Steven's sister figure, technically. Either way, nice animation. Lapis and Peridot are great characters and longstanding favorites of mine. You drew them really well, so kudos! ^.^

From what I know, is that it was storyboard artist head canon, Rebecca Sugar hasn’t confirmed it or anything that’s all that a know. But it’s okay if you believe she is aro/ace!
