▼ IMPORTANT ▼ In this video we will see how to express the Laplace operator (or the potential) which is equivalent to the divergence of the gradient, which in Cartesian coordinates (rectangles) is the sum of the second partial derivatives with respect to each coordinate. We will see how to transform the operator to polar coordinates, properly using the chain rule, substituting and simplifying, applying the derivative rule of a product when necessary, all step by step.
