Our Lapland trip! Today: Arctic SnowHotel & Glass Igloos-Travel Vlog February 2022 in Rovaniemi, Finland.
Sleeping on a transparent bed of snow and ice is a dream of many people traveling to Scandinavia. The SnowHotel has room for 70 guests and is one of the largest in Scandinavia. This spectacularly beautiful building is carved to look different each year.
The walls and furniture surfaces of the unique rooms are decorated with ice art and illuminated works of art. The room temperature is 0-5°C, but by using sleeping bags for extreme conditions in combination with the reindeer skins you can be sure of a warm and comfortable sleep.
On the shores of the lake, the moonlight, stars and northern lights illuminate the quiet Lappish nature. Here you can certainly sleep well while the Northern Lights shine in the sky.
Lapland is the perfect place to escape in winter. The snow-covered trees, snowmobile safaris, traditional villages and spectacular Northern Lights make for an unforgettable experience in this dry continental climate. In this dry continental climate, the perceived temperature is warmer than in other climates. This makes it a great place for outdoor activities.
There are husky or reindeer sleigh rides, it's just great to enjoy the peace and quiet of the snowy pine forests. You can also hop on a snowmobile, but then you would only be enjoying the scenery, not the speed!
A snowshoe tour with a thin layer of powder on the ground is a great experience. You have a better chance of seeing the Northern Lights and you can tell your friends about this unique adventure around the open fire or in the sauna.
