Please, may I know if I can change the native panel on my HP Elitebook 820 G3 with a prod ID of Y3S30UC#BIL from 1366* 768 to 1920*1080? and if I can, I will like to find out if there would be the need to change any other component in addition to the new FHD panel. Thank you in advance for your response.
I upgraded my 840 g2 from 768 to 1080. I did not need to upgrade the video cable. Every seller on the internet will tell you you need to buy a new dual channel cable. I looked up the maintenance manual for my model and there is only one video cable part#, so that's the answer.
Hi Jenna. HP laptops come with different screen options. I opened up the laptop to get the model number from the broken screen then I ordered it from laptopscreen.com. You don't have to order the replacement from them. I've used them a couple of times and had no issues finding what I needed.
good tutorial. however, I don't think your buddy will be too happy his full names showed up for the whole world to see. be careful with that in your future videos.
