Some of your points are not good. You only touched on this point but a laptop can act as a desktop + laptop in just 1 device. A desktop cannot. For repairability, how often does your laptop motherboard die? No really, how often? You also have service centers to get it fixed, 3rd party repair shops, etc. If you actually take care of your laptop, it will not die. If you let dust build up in your laptop and let it overheat, etc. what do you expect? Its similar to a prebuilt desktop getting clogged with dust (FYI, this is what regular people will use, not assembling their own damn desktops). Why compare a custom built desktop, then say it has great upgradability compared to a laptop with soldered ram? Thats like picking up a good laptop and comparing it to a terrible desktop and then saying the laptop has better upgradability. A gaming laptop normally has upgradable ram and ssd. Price is not cheaper on desktop. There were 52 to 55k rx5500m laptops. A desktop with similar performance would cost you more provided you add in all the features. Even right now, at 60k for rx5500m laptop, they'd be nearly on par with cost. If you want to go used, then the gaming laptop can also go used market, where I'm sure you can find something decent for cheaper. Performance, once again, if you pick a shitty desktop and compare it to a good laptop, you can say, "oh the laptop eats a lot less power but performs better, so laptop has better performance". Because lets compare apples to apples. A ryzen 5 5600h is going to be around a desktop ryzen 5 5600g. Yes, desktops win in top performance, but the rest? Not by much. Low to mid tier they're roughly similar. Oh and you forgot heat gets generated by both GPU and CPU. So if you do gaming, more heat gets generated by the GPU. Doing simulations or something and CPU will generate more heat.
