Now, to complete the trilogy, you need to watch from the same concert 'Caruso'. Anyway all the concert 'From Lara With Love' Montreal 1999 is a masterpiece.
I see you love Singers with wide range and lot of variations, so i MUST tell you to see a "new" artists Sohyang from South Korea, because you already know Gabriel Henrique and Cakra Khan. You will be very happy. Ciao from Italy.
Adagio is an italian word, that means "Slowly". This is also used in music to define the pace of a music (a bit slow, between lento and andante) and also as a name of a piece of a sonate, concerto or symphony that is using that specific parce. The music from this song of Lara Fabian is a pop translation of an italian classic piece called "Albinoni's Adagio". It was written in 1958 by Remo Giazotto who was an admirer of Albinoni, a musician from the 17th/18th century. He claimed it was from him and give his music this name but there is consensus today that he most probably has composed it himself. The classic music piece is globally famous and there were many different translations into different songs, with different music composition and different lyrics (Daniele Licari, Sarah Brightman and Sissel Kyrkjebo for instance). But the most famous version, by far, is Lara’s version: it was translated into a pop song for her, she wrote lyrics in english and italian for it and is the original performer of this new version. She kept the title Adagio and wrote a story with a double meaning: a woman that is awaiting to find her love / an artist that is awaiting the god of inspiration. This song has become a classic and has been covered by many : Shirley Bassey (!!), Dimash (Lara is his absolute idol and he covered several of her songs), Floor Jansen, Polina Gagarina, Julie Anne San Jose, Giulia Falcone, Laura Bretan, Il Divo, Rimar, Vitas, Anastasia Luna, Evgenia Fanfara, , … They made great covers but none of these match the amazing storytelling performance of Lara, or her ability to use vocal subtleties to be in sync with the music, exposed in her live from the concert From Lara with Love. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bqoS-KOLV_4.html Her italian version is also amazing. @cellevangiel5973 lol! I find it amusing that you are trying to educate Eric Sicard on anything in regards to Lara Fabian! You're very funny! I'm thinking you don't watch many of Lara's videos or people's reactions to her videos because if you did...you would see Eric's posts of said videos and a plethora of links and information of Lara's other performances videos and backgrounds thereof! The fact that you think Eric doesn't know that Lara's real name isn't Fabian but in fact is Crokaert is funny to me

@@kratty0166 lol, she is the belgian female artist who sold most records in the world (20 Millions +} and indeed some belgian peiple don’t know her. It’s because she started her career in Quebec then moved in many countries. She is half sicilian, half flemish (her real name is Lara Crokaert) but was raised starting from 7 in the french speaking part of Belgium, and even has an American gramd father. No wonder she frels comfortable with different languages amd culture.
🇨🇦 Canadian female artists are BadAss ! LOL Look below for comments by Eric Sicard as he will explain this song and tell you about most of the other songs Lara has done ! You liked the Italian version ? Try reacting to her rendition of Caruso !
She is the Top Female vocaliste in the world, major star in Europe, speaks fluently 4 languages, (Italian, French, English, Spanish) also Russian and Portugese. More than 30millions album sold world wide and almost unknown in the USA, i will let others explain her story, she is now 53 yo and just finished a world Tour in 2022. You now have the Lara-virus, no vaccin, no medication, she sings from her soul to yours....
Prime Whitney, prime Mariah, prime Celine and prime Lara are all Olympic level generational voices. I certainly have my preferences. But it’s absolutely pointless to say one is better than another. I find it a bit discrediting to make such a point
Adagio instrumental dates back to as early as 1685, over the centuries it has taken new forms. Mainly being rewritten in different keys. Lara is the first person to put words to the song. She was approached to write lyrics to this Italian gem that has been handed down. Where were we “Americans” while Lara was living on the EuroPop Rock Charts? Lara took Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You” with Whitney Houston’s version: Taking the Saxophone out, inserting an electric guitar, and out popped a EuroPop Rock hit!! There is a Chinese singing competition that features established artist & credit went out to Dolly, whom they pay every time someone sings her song. I found that rather interesting. ❤️✌🏼from, Timothy in Tallahassee, Florida 😎🌴
I also absolutely LOVE how she did OOOOADAGIO , it was great. And that breath in the end gets me every time ! Fantastic performance. Please react to You’re not from here and Broken Vow from the same concert next
I so enjoyed your reaction to this one. This entire concert was creative and powerful. Try Broken Vow for some vocal and body language captivating moments.
One of several of my favorite Lara Fabian performances. But, unlike "Je Suis Malade", I can listen to it every day. "Je Suis Malade" is too painful to listen to so I only indulge about once a year. I guess that's the downside to bringing so much emotion to a performance. Watching Lara suffer is just too much.
What a wonderful singer. Lara Fabian is one of the most beautiful voices in the world. You talked about the flights of Lara and Dimash, how much they look alike, so you have to listen to PERDERE L'AMORE by Lara and you will understand the influence she had on Dimash when he was young, it was one of his haunt songs to imitate Lara. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wtP7oFpp-6o.html
i was at the recording of this part of the special here in Montreal and let me tell you she sang this a few times and each time it was just a bit different but equally impressive.
I can listen to this performance until the day I die and still be amazed every singel time. Lara Fabian is my favorit singer of all time. Lara i'm coming home! 😉 Thank you for sharing Lara with us.❤️👍
That Lara does go higher in the middle of a song with an endless breath happens more. And Lara seems to sing those notes so effortless .... You can heat that in her fist big hit in Canada and Europe: ""Tout"" ""tout est fini entre nous"". Translation: everything is over between us ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-P1637o5_OuA.html
Adagio is the piece by Tomaso Giovanni Albinoni (8 June 1671 - 17 January 1751) whose theme the song takes up substantially unchanged. Albinoni's Adagio is considered to be one of the most beautiful melodies ever written. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adagio_in_G_minor
I recommend you a Spanish singer her name is Diana Navarro with the song "El perdón" she is a very versatile singer. She sings different musical styles with a very personal voice and incredible melismas. She always transmits.
I love you🙏, ahh you get turned on by the same parts like i, yesss the ladt exhale...the effect it has. Please analize Dimashes Adagio performance from 2017 The Singer show. Thank you. I love the rasp in your voice, so cool.
Italian is Lara’s first native language as she spend her childhood in Catane , Sicilia in her mother family (and in the recent months she has been living again there with her sicilian husband)
@@ericsicard910 Yes. She was born in Belgium, she moved to Sicily when she was 1 year old and she lived there until she was 5, and she moved again to Belgium. She refused to speak French for a lot time and a form of protest. She used to spend her summer holidays in Sicily when she was a child and teenager. I knew that she lived for short periods of time in Sicily, but I didn't know she was living there now! How I wish she come to Portugal for a concert! She came here at least four times and two of those for a concert, but it was a long time ago! Well, not bad I get to see Laura Pausini in February! 😊
Hi, thank you very much for this beautiful reaction and your accurate comments. There is just one thing I would like to draw your attention to: in the final long-held note, you talk about a vibrato, but I do not hear a vibrato, I just hear a “gruppetto” of notes very cleanly and clearly and quickly executed. Vibrato is something else, don’t you agree?
Wrong, see my other comment. Composed by Remo Giazotto in 1958 who pretended it was from Albinoni, a baroque music from the end of 18th century indeed. But it is now accepted by all experts that Remo composed it himself entirely. So this from the 20th century. Many translation into songs have been made with different lyrics, most in the opera genre. This is the best and most successful translation into a pop song. Lara has co-written lyrics for this pop english version and entirely written the lyrics for the pop italian version. It became a classic and was covered by many.
@@frankbirch3877 no Franck, it is known accepted that the story of music sheets fragments from Albinoni is a tale invented by Remo Giazotto who in fact created the whole thing by himself entirely
lara and Floor Jansen (nightwish) are the best singers in terms of emotions, empathy and singing qualities. You should also listen to Adagio sung by Floor in covid time.🎶🎶🤟🏻🤟🏻
Please react to Putri Ariani from Indonesia. he got the golden buzzer from Simon Cowell in american got talent. and to date, those who have seen the video have reached 39 million. truly extraordinary. world's best record
She didn't take a breath she let her breath out lol you. Stopped? At so many times and talked so much I wanted to shoot myself in the face l o l until next time stay well i'm popping for fresh
Normally I wouldn't leave a comment suggesting another performer, especially since I do love Lara (but then again, lara and Jackie do have a connection through David Foster) but your comment on your community tab suggests that. You have already reacted to one Jackie vid, I have another wish ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0qGn641IG-Y.html
Jackie Evancho? She is a fan of Lara. Lara rewrote Broken Vow for her as a french song called Imaginer (per request of Jackie’s parents). Jackie also covered Je t’aime. And also Caruso, the song from Lucio Dalla, because Lara covered it beforehand.
@@ericsicard910 Thank you and yes, I am aware of that but I think David Foster, who has worked with Lara before, asked Lara to revise the lyrics for Jackie.
@@brgilbert2 maybe David Foster was indeed the messenger for Jackie and her parents. David highly praises Lara and invited her at his "David Foster and Friends" concert in Las Vegas, where he said introducing her that she is “top of the heap of the world great voices”.
@@ericsicard910 Thank you and yes she is. What I find interesting is the number of great vocalists that come from Europe that many people in the U.S.A. have never heard of like Lara and Helene Fischer who unlike Lara, have never performed in America that I am aware of.
Correction: way more impressive vocal range, technically different approach but not superior. The flexibility in the changing of vocal tones and colors in Lara’s version, her ability to smoothly build the song in sync with the music is better in her version. Dimash does a few things better in his version as I said and then it depends on your taste. I largely prefer her version for instance but I do understand it could be the opposite for you. But you can’t say he is technically better than her. He masters technical things she doesn’t but the reverse is also true.
@@ivanveljkovic6242 , The Song dates back to 1685, Lara wrote the words in Italian & English. Italy, Spain, Portugal are Old World Latin countries. Mexico thru Brazil & down to Argentina are New World Latin countries. Hispanic is a term that is less precise, Latino is a better description. You brought Dimash into the conversation as a better performer or more apt level of difficulty. My statement is “I don’t care for his accent”. It is that simple, I did not say “Dimash is not an amazing singer, that is my opinion on this song. Do you understand? Don’t make it anything more than a preference.
