Yes you are right: she immerses herself in the story of a song and then she just is recreating and living it on stage, so it is natural, authentic and believable
YES!!!!!! She is a MASTER at doing this! I truly believe that a technique like this can't be taught. It has to come naturally from within! Lara is and will always be THE REAL DEAL when she hits the stage!
So many new young RU-vid singers from around the globe have great voices and a lot have learned about performing by watching Lara. She has always been a performance genius. She has it all…vocal range, breath control, timbre, pitch, phrasing, dynamics, resonance, color, belting, etc. She is a master at taking you on her journey through a song. No one else quite like her.👏🥰
I needed more than 60 years to find out that there is a vocalist Lara Fabian, just by being bored and clicking around on YT. It was "Je suis malade" where I simply looked up some part in the middle. It took 10 seconds to goose bumps. Being a great fan of Barbra Streisand that I prefer over Celine Dijon et al, I do not want rearrange my own scale from 1 to 10. Lara's performances are beyond. She does not serve to be rated by a trivial number, although I could give her an eleven or so. To me it is more. I prefer to express my personal experience by the term "revelation".
a while ago I watched a video that played Celine singing this song in comparison to this performance from Lara............I am a fan of both but quite honestly Celine's performance was not in the same league as Lara's - Lara is not a commercial singer, she is an incomparable artist.............her voice is warm and powerful at the same time. She is in fact......................the ULTIMATE ARTIST !!!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH for your kind words and support!!!! I truly appreciate it!!!! I absolutely love watching/experiencing Lara performances because I know she is.just gonna blow me away every single time like she did with this performance!
lara gets into the song and feels each words of the song.... she is a fantastic singer... sings in several languages and her octives are outragous.....
Thanks as always for this reaction. You should watch on your own the intro to that song in the concert. wonderful.... Video from Lara the ring Fabian channel the full concert en toute intimité @1:14:29 for calling you. This really sets the scene perfectly. She is the queen to let her entire self communicate in total synergy and harmony. Studies say that in communication 55% is visual, 38% is the voice and 7% the meaning of the words. She is the queen when it comes down using the 93% non verbal to support the mere 7% verbal. She does make the difference with voice and body. Looking forward to the next one already.
Lara is truly an amazing singer. She has a way of striking the heart directly. She is one of my favorite singers out there now, along with Angelina Jordan and my favorite, So Hyang!
I love Lara and So Hyang so much!!!! In fact when I said in the reaction "We'll I guess there's one other person I can think of" that's who I was referring to lol! I haven't heard Angelina Jordan yet but I will now!!!! That's how it works around here, if a singer is great or if people tell me that the singer is great, I react to them. It's really that simple lol🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 THANK YOU so much for watching my reaction!!! I truly appreciate it!
@@IsaiahHudson1 If you wanted you could start with Angelina's 'Bohemian Rhapsody' when she was just 13 on America's Got talent. She's only 17 now, but she has been singing all of her life. You will not believe her voice. I would say, she is not Lara or So Hyang, yet, in her complete mastery, but she is getting close. Here is the link to Angelina. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qF0JV28vgLw.html
Honey you have to see urgent this entire concert, this concert is sublime all the songs and her performances out of this world dont miss it please please please. Always enjoy your reactions❤️😘
Calling You is a song composed by Bob Telson and recorded by Jevetta Steele on the soundtrack of the film Bagdad Café in 1987. Bob Telson also recorded his own version, both of which appeared on the film's album in 1987. It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song at the 61st Academy Awards.
Yes!!!!! I believe you were the first person to tell me about this performance! Thank you so much for watching and for telling me.about this! I truly appreciate it!!!
@@IsaiahHudson1yes I did mention this as a great song by Lara. I have sent another to you which I believe you will enjoy. She’s in a recording studio in Canada with a few great friends and recording one of the beautiful songs for her album of that year. You’ll see.
"Bagdad Cafe" was my boyfriend's favorite movie and this was "our song". I played this haunting song at his memorial service. Always brings a tear to my eye now. Lara's version is incredible.
So Sorry for your loss🙏🙏🙏🙏 I haven't heard the original but the way how Lara approaches the song is just so incredibly moving. Lara knows how to capture the feels with any song but especially this one!
@@IsaiahHudson1 Here is Lara with Jevetta Steele, the original singer. Quite fitting because the song (in Bagdad Cafe) is about the deep friendship between two women - one European and the other African American ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AfAzK85Si64.html
Hi Isaiah :) once again - yeah, I know you love that wonderful Lady - like us of course! - thanks for your reaction. There are so many reasons why she's the best. Simple, natural, beautiful, powerful voice - she could hold an entire show without microphone and she's never ever used any playback which is absolutery amazing knowing her performances. She's always stayed true to herself and to her public. Good reasons enough huh? :) hugs Isaiah :)
GOOD REASONS INDEED!!! She is simply MESMERIZING to watch. She gives me a watching experience like no other! It was a pleasure chatting with you and I hope to chat with you on the next Lara Reaction vid!!!! Thank u so much for watching!!!!
Always enjoy your reactions to the amazing Lara Fabian and I concur as to seeing in concert is most definitely next level. I know I've said it before but this venue - Olympia in Pais - is most definitely my favorite given its intimate feel (the Warner Theatre in Washington DC is another great venue for Lara in my experience). Love your reactions !
Thank you so much for your kind words!!!!!! I truly appreciate it!!!! I wanna see every performance Lara has ever done at this point lol!!!! So awesome that you got to see her live!
Hello from România again, send you love. Please listen also : Mr. President ,Allways ( allways is a must) was sing by Lara on some olimpic games ( if i am mistaken) with a lot off beautiful kids dress in flowers, Growing wings, so manny grate songs & performens from her, but my personal fav is " World at your feet" ❤
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mKLdLox918A.html This is another that showcases Lara’s performance skills as she blasts us with her talent without breaking a sweat!! It’s just truly wonderful.
You popped up on my RU-vid today and I've never heard that song. So I thought I'd listen in there with you. Yeah that's pretty freaking amazing. He definitely has some pipes on her. Check out the sing sideways by travis meadows. The lyrics are just incredible. RLTW 3/75
Yes, for sure she is amazing live! Not manny artists have that , to be better live on stage , it' s crazy. But what is crazy for me more ,i don' t understand why she is not the most awarded artist beein sooo good. That shows me how meessed up is the industry😢, you have artist like Eminem more popular then Lara hwo has real talent ( sorry ,but i can' t say anythink good about artists like Eminem ,that muchs in his songs ,my opinion, he has no talent compare with Lara, or artists that can' t sing live ,but they are more popular then Lara ,and i don' t think is faire, my opinion, sorry )😢
Life is not fair, so in the music industry it is even more notorious.. Singers like Adele, Brittney Spears and so many other examples, having more recognition than Mrs Lara Fabian is incredible..
I agree 1 million percent with you Clara!!!!! It truly isnt fair. She blows whoever is popular now in the industry OUT OF THE WATER easily! But people like us will continue to keep her name out there!
As Eric said, this song is originally sings by Jevetta Steele. It's the soundtrack of a great US movie that had a quite big success in Europe less in the USA, called Bagdad Café with CCH Pounder, Marianne Sagebrecht and Jack Palance. The original version of Jevetta Steele is also wonderful to me ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oCLpLWcX2cg.html
And there is a duet between Lara and Jevetta. Celine also made a famous cover of it. Vocals impeccable but almost no emotions and storytelling compared to Lara’s version in my personal view.
I only know one other version from her of this song. It is a duet with the original singer Jevetta Steele but I prefer the version you just reacted to: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AfAzK85Si64.html
