Lara Fabian is, in my opinion, one of the world’s most talented singers. Each song is performed with exquisite perfection because she seems to become the words she utters. Just watching her lips as they quiver, move, or stretch is fascinating. … and her sound? Unbelievably powerful ranging to softly vulnerable. Each performance reaches deeply inside my soul. She is my touchstone of excellence.

From the list press the button to run down all the combined skills and talents of those best female vocalist, at the top of the list is LARA FABIAN. That is one of the processes in selecting the best female vocalist. The final nail to the coffin was her performance at the World Music Awards. All the top caliber female vocalists of her time performed there. Only Whitney and Lara got the standing ovation. And among the two Lara got the standing ovation while performing the song despite being unknown to many. (Whitney received it after her performance). Thats the power that she possess as a performer.
Wow wow wow!! She’s just beautiful inside and out, isn’t she?? Her singing shot chills down my arms and scalp. I really appreciated your analysis and reaction on this one! 🙏🏻 wow!
She is a fabulous singer, without a peer. And, as usual, I thank you for teaching this old metalhead something new. I'm glad I have found your channel.
Welcome back with The Goddess Lara Fabian!!!...Caruso is one of her best performances so we love it!!!....Thank you for your amazing reaction my friend!!
I’m always excited to see another Lara reaction from you. I just had the privilege of hearing her sing this 2 nights in a row in Canada. It was so lovely. Her work ethic to maintain her voice is amazing. Her Italian vocal coach works with her on a daily basis and travels with her to concerts. It’s sad that this amazing concert was filmed in Canada to be aired here only on PBS as marketing for her CD. I wish it had reached more people.
Sir Hairless! Yes it is a beautiful beautiful song! But the way you feel the music is contagious SH!! Thank you for a brilliant analysis of this superb performance! I'll watch it and feel it with you a few more times, that's for sure! 🙏 ❤️ 🥹
Wow indeed! Chills and tears. Thank you for introducing me to Lara Fabian. I have loved every song you've reacted to, and your reaction, as always is superb!
Sir Hairless, thank you so much for this fantastic reaction. I so appreciate everything you share with us that deepens our appreciation for the songs we love. You are one of the very best reactors. I always look forward to your Lara and Dimash reactions. ❤
Caruso, is an italian song, written, composed and performed in 1986 by Lucio Dalla as a tribute to Enrico Caruso, the most famous tenor of his time (late 19th / early 20th century). He was the first global singing superstar. The story is about the last days of Enrico Caruso, he knows he is dying, and he is remembering all his career on stage and telling his much younger wife how much he loves her. It has very quickly become a classic of italia music and the biggest names have covered it (Julio Iglesias, Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, …. and of course Luciano Pavarotti). Even Metallica covered it But for many, Lara's version from the concert From Lara With Love 2000 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BP2KnLemT78.html is the best ever, as she was able, with her unique ability to convey the emotions of a song, to reveal the real sad story written by Lucio Dalla. I was told that Lucio Dalla himself, after hearing this performance, said that she made it her song and this is the best version he has heard from it. For Lara, this song is really important as this is a kind of anthem for Italy, and she is so much connected to this country. She spent the first few years of her life there with her sicilian mother and grandma. Italian is her first native language. Her husband is also sicilian. She also has been living there for the past few months since the end of 2022.

Beautiful! The Latin languages are emotive, and the imagery superb. Lara has that heritage, and sings with her soul. Sir Hairless, you listen with your soul. Thank you for FEELING with us!!❤
Tks Sir. Muitos beijos do Brasil 😘😘😘❤️❤️❤️🇧🇷
Oh boy! This was really beautiful, your reaction, your analysis - what a pleasure to see you listening to Lara and this emotional rendition of the song! Thank you so much, again! ❤ But this was special....
Thank you for the great reaction. I love the details you mention. Before hearing Lara's version of Caruso, my favorite was Jackie Evancho's - and while Jackie's version is beautiful, no one can touch Lara (on any song). She manages to touch my heart and my soul.
OMG!! This song by Lara... every time my heart is about to explode from all the emotions she conveys : love, pain, sadness... My favourite one among all my other favorites from her. 😉😆 Thank you for your excellent reaction, as always. By the way, would you mind telling us a bit about your musical background ? Sorry for being curious but each time I am stunned by your knowledge and by your ability to catch everything in one go. Take care. greetings from France 🙏🏻🇫🇷
It is my understanding that Della wrote this song in the suite of rooms in which Caruso Died. Caruso had returned to Italy ,with his woman companion and their infant child, to spend his last days in Sorrento. The song is written in first person, in the imagined Caruso's voice, regarding the situation and his love for the woman.
Thank you. Lara's delivery is gorgeous and so incredibly moving. She makes me cry. It is beautiful. I really appreciate your observations. Her performance is so much more touching than others.
I've heard this song often from Pavarotti and Carreras in concert/recital. I always loved it but Lara takes it to a new level. Your commentary on language and the different sound of words so interesting, particularly the West Side Story reference. You're exactly right!
Awesome, flippin flappin awesome. 14 thumbs up. What I loved most is that you seem to be more in tune with the artist (and with Lara that is critical) as few if any reactions of Lara catch on that everything Lara does, virtually syllable by syllable is intentional. Not just the score and vocal sound, but the body language, the posture, the diction, the coloring and much more. Lara does more in a single phrase then our supposed pop star singers utilize in a year. Early in the song she mentioned the "Gulf of Sorrento", except she pronounced it "Surriento", different, AND 4 syllables V 3. Why? Mistake? Nope. Caruso was from Naples and Neapolitans pronounce it Surriento. Lara. Misses. Nothing. Another, Caruso is dying and leaving behind his young wife and small child. Intensely sad. Each chorus he is closer to death. So he, Caruso, which is who she is playing at that moment, is getting more desperate to tell his wife he loves her. Tearjerker 11 on a scale of 1-10 and Lara treats the subject with great care (intention). Hard not to cry and in the hands of Lara? Impossible. A legend, a living walking, talking masterclass, a G.O.A.T., a Queen...long may she reign.
@@elizabethwhite1068 thx - I did not discover her until 2.5 years ago - I spent a month pissed about how on earth I could have missed her - I had heard of her, the name, but never heard her. Still sickens me. lol
@@justingamble3876 It's a very common occurrence, so you aren't alone. I discovered her during the 2018 Olympics when a pair of Canadian skaters used Je Suis Malade. They were wonderful, but it was the voice that made me bolt upright and grab my phone to Shazam it. She immediately became my favorite artist of all time. And I still get irritated that I didn't know who she was sooner. Stupid Sony. But here's the lucky part, she's still performing and putting out new music so we can still enjoy her as an active artist. She truly is extraordinary and so special.
@@justingamble3876 You're not alone in that. I only discovered her during the 2018 Olympics when a pair of Canadian skaters used Je Suis Malade. @@justingamble3876If you're american you can thank Tommy Motolla and René Anjelil (if he was alive...) for screwing Lara in the american market! I think that it was so childish to dump Lara because of the "competition" to Céline Dion! People known the two in Europe and European market was big enough for both, but in the USA, everything is tirned to ridiculous competition, to a fan war! I'm her fan since 2001!😊
I'd like to introduce an amazing vocalist to you: Taka of One Ok Rock, a Japanese rock band. His cover of Adele's Hello is spectacular, but songs like Take What You Want (Ambitions tour live) or Your tears are mine (Luxury Disease tour live), or the acoustic jam session version of Mighty Long Fall are amazing introductions to his vocals. He is currently one of the best rock vocalists in the world (not my personal opinion but that of vocal coaches). :)
Piano and voice… nowhere to hide. Lara telling us this beautiful story in lovely Italian, singing, speaking and grabbing our attention and emotions… you can tell she loves that song. So talented and generous. Thanks 🤗
I send you my compliments sir. Congratulations, what great work of analysis based on concrete facts. Comparing Lara Fabian to those predecessors who performed Caruso before her is somehow unusual and clever regarding Lara Fabian. Few admired the way she took this performance to an unattainable level. In short, professional work!
Lara has an extraordinary ability to breathe new life into overplayed music - music that actually is fantastic but that has lost its spark due to overplaying. I want to hear her sing Vivaldi's 4 Seasons!
She emotes and delivers the words in a very special way and it makes you involved and affected by them. Dimash recognises the way the spell is cast as a fan of Lara’s and he is also an incredible singing wizard who can captivate in this almost hypnotic way.Thank you for your reaction 😊
It always makes my day when I see a new Lara reaction from you. Your analysis is always so interesting and I love how you bring in comparisons to other versions. It's always interesting to see how she technically makes a song her own. I didn't know the song before Lara, so her version is canon to me. The soft desperation she imparts, with a voice that cuts to my soul, there is just no other. Her musical intuition and skills are extraordinary. The closest other version is Josh Groban, and I wonder if he based his on hers. But I'm sure a big part of my bias is just because no other voice does what Lara's does to me. I'm tempted to make a request for your next Lara reaction but I'm sure you have a good list going already. As always, thank you!
The song TO LOVE AGAIN from a live concert is a masterpiece its one of her french song that she did an english version of. Its a little rockish its really good. If you feel like it go watch it. Thanks for your great reactions
I completely agree with you. I have watched and re-watched numerous songs from that concert dozens of times, and for me it seems like one of the all time best concerts to have been at and heard live. I always feel so envious of those who were in the audience that night.
So far I loved every version of this song well I know just a few, the original from Lucio Dalla, of course and the coverversions of Josh Groban, Andrea Bocelli, Luciano Pavarotti, Vittorio Grigolo, Al Bano, Il Divo, Gianna Nannini, Céline Dion & Florent Pagny, Lara Fabian and the Cello version of Stjepan Hauser - no matter which version, this song always touches my heart deeply. Might have something to do with the fact that I have heard records of Enrico Caruso and I love the passion in his voice
Hello, SH! 👋 This is a very beautiful italian song, I listened to it for first time with Lucio Dalla (italian singer and who wrote it!), by request of my italian teacher, that was many years ago, before Lara started to sing it and almost made her own (😂😂) also years ago...🙄, maybe you should do a video about Dalla's version, that would be great! 😊, or maybe another Lucio's song ...🤭 Anyway, thanks for your analysis, excellent as usual!👌 Stay healthy&happy ✌️😉🇲🇽
Thanks for the great reaction to Lara she’s my favourite female artist. Can you please react to my favourite Male artist Australian legend John Farnham covering a Beatles classic “help” live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra
She Is a wonderful Singer listen to her dramatic side requiem pour un fou and je t.aime thank you i m a Canadian soprano living in Italy from Pavarotti school i am on you tube thank you for your reaction
I found Dimash through Lara 🥰 I’ve been listening to her for years now I’m so happy that more and more people are getting to hear her I saw her concert in Budapest and she was ,of course , brilliant It was my first time seeing her live I cried when she sang this beautiful song ❤❤❤❤❤
That whole concert is just one banger after the other. Zero filler material! Another great song of her (from that same concert) is "Perdere l'amore" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mcmhCfH9OfQ.html
I still cannot believe that a man, along the way dumped her and made her sad... what a mess. When you are with a woman like Lara... never lose her... She is special.
Pavarotti has a version of Caruso in 2003 Ti Adoro album with Jeff Beck playing the lead guitar - I like it a lot. The album is interesting on its own merits - Pavarotti sings "canzoni" rather than opera pieces.

Great reaction but I must tell you you have to see this woman live. I just attended her concert from her Je t'aime tour in Ottawa on June 14th. At 54 years of age she sounds exactly the same. She did this song at the concert and it was beautiful. Her 2024 world tour ended in Quebec City the next week. She is doing another world tour in 2025 beginning I think in October or November.
