It's a dying man singing to his love that he loves her and comforting her that she'll be ok even when he's gone. And from one music lover to another, HIGHLY recommend watching her 'Je Suis Malade' performance from the same concert (From Lara With Love). The performance is on YT with English subs (song's in French) and is one of the single best performances of any song ever!

Please forgive me but I can't handle the english language very well. However Caruso Is a a song of Lucio Dalla an italian artist. There is a story behind this Song. One day Lucio Dalla broke is boat in front of Gulf of Sorrento. I Asked a friend for help and the friend was the owner of the hotel (Grand Hotel Excelsior Victoria) where Caruso (famous tenor of the past) died. The friend gave to Lucio the Caruso's room. At the same time chance willed that the barman of the restaurant "La Scogliera" tale to Lucio Dalla that Caruso had fallen in love with an unrequited love for a young girl to which he gave singing lessons. Shortly after, Caruso died. In his room Lucio found the piano that belonged to Caruso and inspired by this story began to play a few notes. A little later the song was ready.

Lara was born and grew up in Belgium, speaking both French and English. As an adult she moved to Canada.... then back to Belgium for a few years for family reasons, and now is settled back with her family in Canada. She's very much a European star.... She's also worked extensively with composer/pianist Igor Krutoy, in Russia. Recently when Krutoy reworked one of his songs - Your Love - for Dimash - Fabian provided the lyrics. Dimash grew up idolizing both Krutoy and Fabian. In my opinion, you can see his unbridled emotion in his songs as being very much influenced by Fabian. He sings many of the songs that were a stable part of her performances.
