@@andremachado4722 Lara is a classically trained vocalist, she has one of the best techniques the industry has ever known... vocal coaches and the same people who worked with these 3 put her in the same category and said she's one of the best they've ever heard. The whole From Lara with love concert is viewed as a masterclass of technique and interpretation. You just put them on a pedestal because of their fame. American vocalists are not the only top tier vocalists, there's a whole world out there. Besides, Lara has a masterful use of dynamics, her storytelling skills are outstanding. Singing is much more than vocal technique and it's our right to think she's the best singer in the world, we all have our own opinion...and she's a complete artist.

It's the bizarre physical emotions she displays that turns off many people, including myself, and is (I believe) one of the greatest reasons she is not appreciated (or even known) in the US. I am personally unable to watch her even if I enjoy listening to one of her songs.

Finally?! This show was in 2008 or 2009!

He also gave "proper credit" to Charice. Neither of them has gained wide success in spite of it.

@@vervideosgiros1156 Who said anything about USA? She has been commercially successful in Quebec, Belgium and France. Nowhere else. Don't you wonder why? She simply doesn't appeal to most people---either because of her style (which I happen to like) or her voice (which I find unpleasant). If you aren't convinced of her worldwide lack of success, click on "Discography" on her Wikipedia page. The proof is in the numbers.

However, the most beautiful album from Lara Fabian is dated 2005. So, when an artist is great there is no Sony that would stop her!!

Lara spoke on Canadian TV on October 13, 2020, and she explained they were multiple reasons , and that behind the scenes, Celine Dion, clan who was also under contract with Sony Music, reacted. To protect their gains and prevent another "voice singer" from attacking the same market, Celine Dion's team played it hard, very hard. Result: overnight, Lara Fabian was parachuted to another record company, surrounded by strangers who wanted to turn her into a pseudo dance diva.

@@inuyasha9573 What in the actual fuck? That sounds borderline petty. Maybe they were threatened, and rightly so. Céline is a gifted singer, but IMO she can't hold a candle to Lara. Lara puts so much more depth, soul, emotion, variation into her songs. And I find her voice to be much prettier than Céline's, whose voice is a little too nasal for my taste.

Oh, please! I'm in the US and I've been music obsessed since I was a kid in the 1950's. I LOVE sensitivity in vocal music. Everyone from Roy Orbison and Barbra Streisand to Dimash and Adele. I think the reason Lara hasn't attained success (outside of Quebec, Belgium and France) has more to do with her voice and choice of songs. I was in the retail music business for most of my adult life and I can promise you that the combination of her voice, song choice (and singing in mostly in French) does not have much appeal to the vast majority of people who are serious about their music.

Sensitivity? We invented Blues and Soul. You tried to sound cultured but instead you made an arrogant fool of yourself.
