I saw Serge Lama sing this song live. He wrote it and those lyrics sung by a man were unbelievably emotional and vulnerable. Lara gave it another life. I can see why Dimash admires her. She’s all in. She is also a very talented song writer. Lovely lady. Nice to see you Lukas. 🤗
Thanks) Very sincere wonderful reaction)👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Congratulations, you have discovered the inimitable world of Lara Fabian, I envy you a little: listening to Lara even after decades is an unsurpassed pleasure, every time in an incomprehensible way her voice makes the heart beat faster, but the first reactions to Lara's singing are just emotional delight that is incomparable) She is a unique singing genius. PS: there are not many reactions to Lara😁, the more, the better, you will not regret it😉
Hi Lukas. Lovely to have you back. Yes Lara is still alive and she recently turned 50. Dimash is a great fan of hers and he sang her version of Adagio on the Singer competition in China. Lara has worked with Igor Krutoy and sang his compositions. She sang The love of tired Swans in Russian and in French too more than 10 years before Dimash did and she also sang Know vocalise as Dimash did. She wrote the lyrics and Igor wrote the music for the song Your love for Dimash in 2020. They also sang together and with Zarina Garifullina Ti amo cosi. Beautiful trio. You can definitely see and hear the influence she's had on Dimash as an artist.
LARA with links: Lara Fabian is a Canadian of Belgium birth and Italian/Franco/Flemish cultural heritage. Lara spent a decade in a Brussels Conservatory studying piano, composition and voice. Lara is a full lyric soprano with a vocal range that spans three octaves from C3 to A5 in live performances. Welcome to another rabbit hole. You know that song "Your love" which Dimash sung ? Composed by Igor Kurtoy (bald piano playing billionaire) and written by Lara Fabian for Dimash. If you want to see the epitome of Fans devotion to an Artist, JE T'AIME - LARA FABIAN LIVE " NUE -2002 " is simply amazing and will raise your goosebumps to a whole new level ! Warning:Very emotional And if you want to see the the ultimate Duet , check out "Lara Fabian & Johnny Hallyday - Requiem pour un fou (English subtitles)". Such power and a looks like she was having a lot of fun up there ! Have fun with this one.
Lara is the only child of Pierre Crokaert, who is Flemish, and Maria Luisa Serio, a Sicilian. Fabian’s parents recognized her talents early on and enrolled her in the Royal Conservatory of Brussels when she was eight years old. She actually sings in eleven languages: French, English, Spanish, Italian, Flemish, German, Greek, Latin, Hebrew, Portuguese and Russian. And as far as speaking she is multilingual, in fact she speaks Italian, French, Spanish, Sicilian, English and Flemish. I'm impressed!
yeah that is what Lara does, touching you deep inside. no need to compare her to dimash, she has her own unique style, she knows how to sing with her whole heart and soul. Lara, who is trained as an opera singer, is also a composer, she writes books and she is a polyglot. she speaks 4 laguages fluently and sings in 12 languages. she is from europe. but very underrated in the states, because one of the biggest music producers in the US - R.I.P. - wasnt in for a rival to his woman. but Lara doesnt need to marry a producer, to find her way. and she is still alive. have a look, an interview from two weeks ago. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wBW6D8utGAQ.html ... how beautiful she still is. a very grounded legend and yet a goddess not from this world. thank you for having her on your show !
Hallo again,Lukas! I'm glad to see you on RU-vid ,from time to time.I missed these musical reactions, but I also know that you were busy, and it's ok. Dear Lukas , I am surprised that you have never heard of Lara Fabian, and of this song, which is gorgeous. What you presented to as now is an older song ,but extremely beautiful, with an extraordinary emotional charge that Lara highlighted by interpreting it. The lyrics are sad but so true.Lara is very young here, but she is a singer with extraordinary voice. Lara Fabian admires Dimash very much ,I could say that she loves him and that she is impressed by his voice, by his sensitivity . I can say that the feeling is mutual. I was impressed when I saw them together, and when Lara performed song from Dimas' repertoire. It's whort, it's really worth listening to those songs...Well ,dear Lukas ,I don't think I have to tell you anymore that you're different person here. You impress me every time ,and you already know that. The music changes you,so much no matter what song you listen to.You live so intensely and you have so much nobility of soul. You emanate a warmth through your eyes and voice so that I don't know what to think . Just like when you play in a movie ,you're completely different. I don't know wich one of you is the real Lukas Hassel ? I have moments when I don't know what else to say,and I don't know if I will be able to get used ,ever with these transitions from one state to another ,of yours....Ok , let's get back to earth ,...you have to know that any piece of music you will choose for the next time ,it be very good, you will not have emotions . We all know your tastes and wathever you choose will be great, and please don't apologize anymore because you stop the clip. You don't anything wrong. Thank you for this song !!!
Thank you. This is definitely me very much but as a writer and actor, I have access to darkness too. I’m interested in all areas of the human experience and fear not going into the dark areas of the mind.
@@lukashasselNY Dear Lukas , excuse me for not answering you sooner. As for our discussion ,I assure you that I know, I know very well who you are. When I said that I did not know who real Lukas Hassel was I said it in a figurative way. You are such complex person with such a beautiful character that few people have. For you it is a gift from nature. You have been endowed with intellectual beauty and sensitivity . Then don't be surprised ,you use all these qualities instantly ,without realizing it. You adapt instantly to every situation. That's your nature . That's exactly I liked about you, because your different from the classic actor. I admit there are also a lot of actors who play mechanically they dont't tell me anything special. As you said ,an artist ,regardless of the art he practices must transmit to me that vibration that reaches me,as a spectator .And that's what you do . I'm not talented at writing ,but I don't like to express myself only through emoticons ,(only the heart ). I prefer write my impressions. That seems right to me . And return to the subject , yes you're right it's normal for a screenwriten to be interested in all areas of human experience . But why be afraid to enter the dark areas of the mind ? You say you have access to darkness ,so why be afraid ? I didn't understand what you meant by that , but it's interesting what you say !

I know this song for years and it still floors me each and every time. Dimash has a huge respect for her. They just live and breath music and find a common ground in that. Great to see you again doing a reaction Lukas, thanks 💙 from the Netherlands
I really enjoyed your analysis, Lukas. Really cerebral and sensitive to the nuances. To me this is the definitive interpretation of Je suis malade. Could you please also react to Lara's performance of "Adagio", from the same concert?
I've heard of Lara Fabian for years but never listened because I thought her music was not for me. I was so wrong! Yes I Discovered Lara because of Dimash. He has covered many of her songs like Adagio, Madimoselle Hyde, Know/Know Vocalise. Lara has collaborated a lot with Igor Krutoy, she also wrote lyrics for Dimash. Please react to more from Lara, she is amazing on stage. I also recommend Ti Amo Cosi where Aida Garifullina, Dimash and Lara sings together, the mutual respect between Dimash and Lara is lovely to watch: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XaQFfqC3lnU.html
I really appreciate your insights. Your observation of her ability to tap into those emotions with your own experiences knowing just how difficult it is is something I haven't heard people say. At least not quite that way. And it's easy for many of us to have that thought, "Oh that must be hard" like a Monday morning quarterback but to hear you, someone who has years of experience trying to do just that, recognizing in her that ability conveys that little extra weight. As for the goosebumps, it's pretty much guaranteed that you'll get goosebumps more often than not when listening to Lara. Enjoy the trip down the Lara rabbit hole.
Lara a toujours été émotionnelle dans ses chansons. Tu as été ému aux larmes toi aussi. Je te recommande d'écouter " Je t'aime " de Lara Fabian. Une de ses premières chansons 💚 que j'avais adoré depuis longtemps.
Beautiful. ❤️ I can’t wait to find more on her! Lukas, I’m not sure why anyone would join a reaction video, then be annoyed that you react. 😂 I love your analytical approach, combined with your kind, honest reaction. Don’t change a thing!! ❤️
Goosebumps is almost an understatement. She is one of those particular singers. Hardly anyone in America knows her last name (because her last name is not SWIFT). Besides, no American can recognize a good artist even if they shit in their mouth. You can see and hear what real artists offer in Europe.
Great reaction. There is a strange Lara Fabian renaissance going on right now. It seems to exist a strong urge for real artistry after being fed up with all that musical fast food.
Merci beaucoup.
I love Lara Fabián, AND she Is a big influencie to Dimash, please react to the 3 new songs of Dimash. They aré STRANGER, FLY AWAY AND AVE MARIA.... I'm still crying!
Hello Mr. Hassel: I really liked your sober and sincere reaction. Your analysis is perfect without even knowing Lara. She's now 51 years old and lives in Canada (her adopted country) with her husband and daughter. 30 years of an amazing career and 15 albums,13 million records sold. In 2010, she collaborated with Igor Krutoy for her album "Mademoiselle Zhivago", illustrated by the musical film of which she's the heroine. As an actor, you should watch this movie (51 mn of pure beauty: a real gem .... in my opinion not objective!) and especially listen to the songs of this album: Toccami, Miss Hyde, Llora, Desperate Housewife ....you won't be disappointed. I wish you success in your new projects, but I will be happy to see you realize other reactions mustly of Lara !!!!
Dimash has the most impressive range and versatility, but Lara Fabien...oh....my....!! She is THE GODESS! Her interpretation and the way she takes your soul in to her soul and show her the pain/love is beyond human imagination. Perfect. Bravo.
Have you heard of the Norwegian singing sensation Sissel? She has one of the most beautiful voices in the world. Check out her version of "Going Home": ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Q8ZHvw4Lfdw.html
Lara wrote the lyrics to Diamsh's song "Your Love". She is Dimash's idol. Compare their versions of Adagio and you will learn some of the tricks Dimash has learned form Lara! To hear them sing together react to Ti Amo Cosi where they sing with Aida Garifullina.
As a fimmaker, you will be inspired by her duet with Johnny Haliday "Requiem pour un fou" (Live in the rain in a stadium with big orchestra and choir). It's as dramatic as "Je suis malade" and you can hear more of her range. Every second of it is intense.
Lara lives in Montreal Canada she is belgium french and can sing in 8 languages. she is talented like not not many can sing in 8 languages .great performance
Hi Lukas, This was stunning, breath-taking, Goosebumps here too my friend! She's also very beautiful :] I have a request that I'd love you to react to, I know you''ll love it as I do...Tina Arena ''BURN' must be the live version please. It's emotional and incredible!
Hey Lucas you really need to check out Dimash's new song STRANGER. I thought of you because the song reminds me of a movie soundtrack and I think you will enjoy everything. Song, performance, his voice, it gets better and better. Please watch 🙏❤️
Hi Lukas, I hope you are well. Come back to Dimash's party. He just dropped on his channel his latest song - STRANGER. You don't wanna miss such a madness. Waiting for you...
Ηello, Lukas. I couldn't find another way to contact you, so sorry about this: I wanted to let you know of Dimash's new song, Dimash Kudaibergen - AVE MARIA | New Wave 2021
I love your reaction, you received straight to your heart the emotion supplied by Lara ! I think you should watch that other so emotional live song "je t'aime" (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qO3b-MyyTZg.html), with french and english lyrics. You'll love it too ! Dom
Dimash listed Lara Fabian as one of his musical influencer over the years. There is a short video clip when they first met in person a few years ago and Dimash looks like a starry eyed 6 year old, totally beside himself to be standing next to her. He says in the video that he dreamed of this moment since he was (gesture) this high.
Hello Lukas. This was written by Serge Lama in the 70s His true story , but Lara is a really beautiful singer . She has above all a beautiful personality. Very true Lady in every way. If you watch this video to very end you will see that she has great difficulty come out of this story. Take care Lukas love from France
Lara has sold more than 30 million records worldwide and is considered one of the best selling Belgium singers of all time. Thank you, Lukas, for your powerful, heartfelt reaction to one of her emotionally-charged songs.
Lara Fabian is one of my most favorite singers! Her voice finds the nuances. Dimash sang Adagio beautifully, but she sings it’s nuances! You should hear her version! TYTY for reacting to this! So happy you are busy! Watched a clip you posted & was scared of the character you played! Great actor! So happy to have seen your true personality first! LOL. ❤️❤️🙏❤️❤️
I completely get why! I can’t believe as much as I love all kinds of music I haven’t heard of Lara Fabian before now. I just listened to JE TÁIME (live from Paris). WOW!! (Goosebumps!) 😂 I thought the same thing about Lukas, he is so sweet! Shows what a good actor he is. Wouldn’t he be a fun friend to have? Asking Mr Zen to turn on VanDyke, on queue! How funny would that be?
Lara's version of Adagio is THE version since it is her song! Dimash sang a cover of her song Adagio beautifully but no one sings it better than Lara Fabian
Great reaction Lukas! Dimash did a song with Lara Fabian and Aida Garifullina who is a world renowned soprano opera singer. the song was Ti amo cosi. You can find it on Dimash's channel. It's a fantastic song. Cheers, Steve EDIT Two months later: Wow. I was just recommending a song. I didn't mean to start a controversy!
@@RaphaelThorsen strange phrasing but ok, Dimash, Lara and Aida did a cover of Ti amo cosi as none of them were the original singers. To say Dimash is a newbie to 'their world tho' is kinda silly unless you're referring to the number of times on stage, ofc as his seniors L&A have lifetime on stage to Dimash's 25yrs then. In 25yrs he garnered a worldwide fanbase while both L&A were literally unknown in the North & South. Dimash's Dears helped to spread both women's fame from the confines of Europe to the rest of the world. He brought them into his world!. That's the power of Dimash's fame as an artist and human being, its a domino effect, he introduces whoever performs with him to his fans who in turn promotes those artists to reactors. Pretty neat huh?
@shrekswife We can speak for ages about Lara, from the time when the manager of Celine Dion destroyed her career in the US... There is so much to tell and argue... Dimash is a great singer and interpret, I've never said the contrary, but he's young and very talented (indeed). His first performance worldwide know is "SOS d'un terrien en détresse", as a French speaking person, he destroyed it, he just tried to pronounce the words, he didn't even understand... It's true that later he learned how to sing it correctly! But the worst of him is his self-confidence, when he thinks, he's the greatest singer in the show "World Got Talent" and removed himself because he didn't want to shadow the other contestant...
Lara has been famous for 30 years. She is a very big star in French speaking countries but also in Russia and ex USSR and in South America, Spanish speaking countries, Italy... It's not because she isn't know in English speaking countries that she isn't famous. Dimash is a new comer and is growing slowly. He chose to stay independent and not to sign with a company so it will take more time to become really big, but he will. For the moment he is known by a small community on RU-vid but famous in Russia and China. Thinking that he is world famous and has 10 millions of fans (outside of China) is some Dears' being biased or blinds. He has maybe 10 000s active fans and the rest are casual listeners. And I'm saying this as a Dear myself. As a French, I like his SOS rendition. It's not my favourite of him because the truth is that French people have expectations for this song because we know it well. So when he changes it that way it feels weird for us. But people from other countries who don't know it and have a "clean" mind loves it and are touch by it. And we should thank him for singing in our language and make that beautiful song know out of the "francophonie" instead of criticizing his pronunciation. I read so many nasty comments by French people that I feel ashamed. And he withdrew of the competition cause it's against his culture to compete against children. Not because he thought that he was the best even though he was clearly the favourite with the highest score. Do you think it's even fair to put him against two children ?
Wow!
Lara's soft voice and her suggestive interpretation easily find their way to subtle and compassionate souls. From the second musical story, I was amazed by Dimash's vocal abilities, and then, thanks to him, I met a whole spectrum of extraordinary artists. I warmly recommend you to watch the interpretation of the song "Ikanaide" by the Japanese singer and actor Koji Tamaki. There is also Dimash's version of that extraordinary song, "Late automn". I believe you will like it. The theme of the song is a moving story about the life of a Japanese actress from WW II. Thank you, Mr. Hassel. It is a pleasure to hear your analysis. You very quickly penetrate to the core of what is happening on the stage, in the song ... This requires extraordinary IQ and EQ in a great correlation. You have my respect. I wish you good health and success in every aspect of life. 🍀
Lara is a legend, not only for her voice, but also her acting and songwriting. I hope you discover a lot more of her. This performance is quite old, but she is still going strong and is an inspiration to so many people.
This performance was my gateway drug to Fabian a few years ago, and I was gobsmacked. "Who...what...WHO IS THIS?!?!" And now, for the first time in my life, I'm a superstan. 🤣 She has sterling technique and an enormous toolbox of skills to choose from. Vocally, there are amazing (and amazingly difficult) things going on here but they are all kept seemless and used in service of the performance and story. Story is ALL to her. She composes and writes the vast majority of her work (in English, French, Italian and Spanish) but she puts the same writer's skills/lens to work analyzing pieces she covers. It actually is even MORE amazing in a way that Je Suis Malade is a cover, I think. Comparing it to the versions that came before, I found that she pretty substantially tweaked it: slowed the tempo, changed the orchestration, made that dramatic second a capella section you commented on, and added the lyric & a cappello section at "this love is killing me" among other more minor little changes. The amazing thing is: she dives that deep on every single piece to get to the emotional core of it. I have not seen another vocal artist so consistently draw the audience into the emotional.world building as she does. Ever. I'm still trying to figure it and her out. Would love to see more of your actor''s perspective of her stage performance choices on other songs in the future. Her original Adagio (English) from this same concert From Lara With Love is masterfully and meticulously built from beginning to end. Caruso (Italian) is a sublime cover that might give you goosebumps again. Pedere L'amore is another more exuberant Italian cover showing off her rock solid dynamic control from softest to cathedral-wide open belts. Both frim this same concert. Thanks for this reaction. Peace. 🖖🏾
I really like Lara also and adore the songs she wrote. "Broken Vow" is a favorite of mine. She's so emotional in "Je Suis Malade" that you'd think she was the composer writing it about her own life. Are you a Dimash Dear also? If you're not familiar with him, Lara was one of his idols while he was growing up, and he's sung with her. Check out "Ti Amo Cosi" at Igor Krutoy's big birthday bash. Dimash is also one of the very few singers that excels at emotional interpretation. Lara had a relatively consistent pop style, but Dimash sings everything from opera to rap, so if you're interested in hearing his emotional pieces, try "S.O.S." at the Slavic Bazaar, or "Daybreak" from his Bastau concert.
And maybe to add. If there would be more reactions to Lara Fabian... LIVE versions are the key. Always another step up from her already great studio recordings !
@@lore9753 Serious question, do you Dimash stans have any clue how irritating it is that so many of you have been swarming into vids that have nothing to do with him the past couple of years to proselytize about your Lord & Savior? Second one today. 🙄
@@DoggieFosters Sorry you're irritated over nothing. Notice that my comment was also about Lara, whose songs I like very much. I see suggestions about other artists, including ppl who suggest Lara, on all sorts of vids including on Dimash's videos. Furthermore, Dimash isn't my "Lord & Savior" and this actually is the FIRST time I've ever commented about him on another video. Dont compare me to anyone else, you don't know me. Last, since Lara and Dimash collaborate, and she even wrote a song for him to perform, I truly doubt either artist would be upset about a favorable comment about themselves that includes a mention of the other. One song I mentioned, TI AMO COSI, is Lara, Dimash and Aida all singing together. The only person who seems to have a bee in his bonnet is you. Please don't reply.
