If God brought you here that means you love children and you have a passion for childcare. But if you don't know exactly it may not be for you. But seek prayer and ask
I’m 15 as well and am currently taking a childcare class where I get to experience working with children and learn how to run a childcare center. I want to open my own daycare too :)
@@liberty6140 you gals can do it! Im almost 22 and finally have taken all the college courses and im now a one year old lead teacher. It is so much fun, i love it so much. It takes a lot of work in this field more than what most people think buy dont give up! You got this ❤
I have a child care center and one thing the kids love is what I call “Wall Street” I have a wall with different “shops” and different toys to represent those shops. To give the kids fun and also it’s educational.
I have decided to open a daycare center. I have been working a 9-5 for the past 8 years and I am thankful for it however, I have a entrepreneur spirit with business experience. I can't wait to get started. Congratulations love!!
Girl, this is so amazing and inspiring! I have been working in education for 12 years, and even though I'm certified to teach in pre-k to 4th grade, I choose to stay in the daycare sector. I feel like I have more of an impact in that capacity. I also avoid the red tape that way as well. You truly are an inspiration to women. You are supporting families in ways that you still have yet to see the impact from, just wait until those first groups of kids start coming back with their own children to you someday. That's an amazing feeling and I'm blessed to start reaping those benefits now. Any advice that I could offer would be to start using the ERS scoring systems for your classrooms. As the Director it's great to relinquish that control to your classroom teacher to let them stretch their educational muscles, but it's important that they learn self-reflective practices for best developmentally appropriate experiences. It would also give you a guide to how your teachers are developing their classrooms and approaching their learning environment, and give you a way to set up their trainings and help their skill sets. Little things off the top of my head, positioning of furniture to prevent running areas, labeled shelves to ensure self-help skill-building in eaven toddlers for clean up time. Environmental print, and child process art at eye level, instead of adult eye level. You are doing amazing, and I love your passion.
Thrift stores is a great place to get daycare equipment, toys and materials. We have purchased books, toys easels, the heavy duty wooden changing table, wooden blocks etc. I also own a commercial daycare. I would add more age appropriate toys and education materials.
I’m a high school student and seeing this is so cool to me! I want to own a daycare facility just like this and seeing what you’ve done is just so inspiring! Love this ❤️❤️❤️
I’m so glad that this video was recently posted! It’s my dream to open a child care facility/art camp one day and now I want to pay a visit to your site I’m excited thank you so much!
Well done young woman! I think your center looks fantastic! I can only imagine you already attend state and local conferences. Great way to connect. I think it's fantastic that you consult as well. My only encouragement to you is to get out and visit other centers. Somebody is always doing someting new. But go see it! Visiting all kinds of centers will remind why you Don't do somethings and inspire you to Do others. Don't stagnate. Church. YMCA. Home based. Military. You've accomplished an amazing thing!
Congrats Dani!! It's good to see a thriving Daycare center. I'm a new subbie and I used to have a home based daycare center for 8yrs in the past. However, the public school system in NJ has taken away many or most of the k-3 and k-4 children. And, there's a lot of centers that have closed down and many will close soon. So it's refreshing to come across your channel💗
Thank you for subscribing! Yes, it is a shame to see some public school systems affecting smaller child care businesses, but where there's a will there's a way! Although it may be challenging, there are some parents that may prefer the quality that a private school may offer over the public school system.
I want to thank you Dani C. I came across your vids almost 2-3 years ago when my aunt passed away from cancer and I took over the home daycare she had while she was sick, I had do many questions and your videos helped me get through it. I worked on the down low since 2016 and finally got licensed 2018 in June. Si much to still learn.
I'm sorry for your loss. It's such a joy to know that my videos helped you out in any way, even if it was just a little! Congrats on getting your license!!
Congratulations my sister for starting your own business. This is an inspiration to others , especially our black youth who are having babies and need a early years education. Education is the key to activate successful lifestyle.
This was something my late mother would've did years ago, since she left behind 26 grandkids and 5 great-grandkids. I miss my mom so much! She's n a better place! 17 years ago last month, God gave her wings. I asked her paper questions 20 years 3 months ago about how she wants her day care to look, and the foods she would cook for them, and whether she wants to take them to a zoo, or order pizza and soda. All love to our family, because that loss was a big, possibility none of us wanted!
I am so inspired! Childcare is something that I want to do for the rest of my life. I'm currently a lead teacher at a daycare, but I'm excited about my plans that I have that will take place after receiving my bachelors next year. Keep up the awesome work!
thanks for the tour. im a real estate investor, and paid cash for a nice commercial building in a town without a day care center. my girl wants to open a daycare, and you just gave me an idea of what it should look like. thank you.
This has always been a dream of mines and I am starting to think about opening my own center more and more especially now that I am back working at a day care this video was only meant for me to see right now thanks so much !!
Wow congrats on the amazing work you’ve done and continue to do I wish this was closer to me I would bring my daughter and come work for you in a heartbeat such a BEAUTIFUL place
TFS!!!!!!! Love the tour of your daycare and congrats on the up grade. I'm looking at opening up a daycare by 2024 can you do a video on different funding or programs for equipment.💚💚💚💚
We, a class of social assintents from Germany, saw your video and have some feedback for you. First of all, congratulations on opening your own daycare. Your day care center is very colorful. We like that it as a coffee corner and a receptionist. We like also that it has room for kids of different ages. We also like that it's flat without stairs and has a lot of space. We think, although, that it is filled with furniture so the kids cannot move around freely. Also, we would have liked to hear about the safety standards. We think it would have come off better, if the promotion of your channel and services were at the end of the video. Lastly, we didn't see an outside playground and were wondering if you have one.
Impressive!! I'm currently a nurse and I'm seriously pondering the idea of opening a child care center. When I am ready to take the plunge in the near future, I will definitely contact you! Thanks so much for posting. I love your humble spirit!
I'm in graduate school to become a speech language pathologist and would love to start a childhood center to have preschool classrooms and provide services of speech and ABA therapy.
As a daycare/creche owner myself I am very impressed with your setup.. think I am going to learn a lot from you.. thank you for sharing. :) liked and subbed
Having worked in a couple of preschools before I would say make sure you have enough toys in each classroom. That one with the green letters on the wall looked really empty, I can just see the kids getting bored and acting out. Also, make sure the furniture is placed in a way where you can see the whole classroom and all your kids. I see alot of shelfs and furniture that are too tall that could be a hazard, and obstruct the teachers view. I would love to see the outdoor area you provide to the kids. I think thats also a big selling point to parents as well.
Always been my dream to open my own. Now that I’m graduating next year, I’m ready to get started fulfilling my purpose. This was super encouraging , I love it
It all looks awesome! so inspiring to me. I am going through the licensing process for my home daycare right now and i am planning on opening a center in a year or two so ill be consulting with you soon.
yeah. Ive been putting in so much time money and energy into making sure i have all my ducks in a row. ive only ever worked in childcare and i am so passionate about it. I really feel like going into business for myself can really impact my life positively
I love your Daycare!!!! I love how welcoming it is when you first walk in . However I would add a large carpet in your infant class room so the infants could crawl around. I do think your all of classrooms are a bit busy ( to much going on, on the walls). I love the space of your center!!! Do you have restrooms for the toddler classrooms? Do you also have a teacher lounge? I plan to one day open my own center ❤️
Really nice center! I'll be graduating next year with my bachelor's degree in Early childhood Education and was wondering what certifications or degrees do you have to have to be a director. Not necessarily to be the Owner but just a director.
In New York State, Director's must have at least an associate's degree with a study plan leading to a bachelor's degree in early childhood or a related field along with two years of experience leading staff in a child care setting. Not sure about other states, but I'm sure you can find the info on Google. Congrats on your upcoming graduation!
Very nice set up Dani Christine, I'm interested in learning how to get funds for my center. I am in the process of setting up now while waiting on my inspection from state and yes it is very expensive getting started.
Nice layout. Personally I think it lacks natural light but I guess that you’re working with a pre-existing building. Could try more plants and natural elements if you’re able. But definitely worth getting the grants to help with costs
Thank you! I wish there were more windows as well, but we didn't build the facility ourselves, so we are working with what we have. We've also recently installed bright LED lights (I believe that's what they're called), which really brighten the place up entirely.
Thank you for sharing and congratulations. I remember watching your videos for helping with starting a home Daycare. Truly inspired as well tonopen my child care program.
Hi! Great work! Would you have information about grants and funds for purchasing materials and equipment and other start up costs to open a daycare centre in Ontario, Canada?
Nice, As far as the building does grant help with purchase and rehab? Need a more detail video on location and different options if start in your home, rental/bldg purchase or lease.
I absolutely loves your day care you've tremendously inspired me I've Evangeline daycare since 1991 I believe it's now my Susan to grow and get my Center I have been type B and I am now type A but I have been for a while. I desperately need info on findings and grants for sure this is Little Debbie's daycare LLC Toledo Ohio
Hello Dani Christine! May God continue to bless you in all that you do. I am in the process of completing inspections for my very first day care center. I am interested in any information you may have about grants available for playground and other day care equipment. I look forward to hearing from you. You have a wonderful location.
