Kinda reminds me of my childhood in ways. Alway's love seeing such a happy wholesome hardworking family. Some of the food you serve, I have never tasted (duck and turkey eggs, maple syrup and the garden salad with the flowers) to mention a few . It always amazes me how much food has to be made to feed your family of 9 for aweek! It's a full time job in itself to keep everyone fed!! Sarah's piano playing at the Meet and Greet was AWESOME!!! Andrew's guitar playing is AWESOME too!! The Children are all very talented in their own ways!!

I was super surprised that I didn't see any pinto beans and cornbread, no cornbread at all, just flat bread and biscuits once. I like a variety of breads, garlic bread, rolls, cornbread, biscuits, etc. and to me, there's nothing better than pinto beans, fried potatoes and cornbread ! Well, maybe some polk salad 😂😂😂

When I have lots of eggs, I love to make egg salad. A little mayo, chopped celery, and a little sweet onion. You could add some chopped pickles or relish, too.

I came from a family of 10. Growing up in a small 60 acre vegetable farm in Brooklyn Park MN we grew all our food. We canned tons of food as well as frozen some. We had our own milk cows, pigs and chickens as well. I have never recalled having been served a cold meal growing up. Once we all were seated at the table, our food was hot and steaming. I don’t think I could eat cold eggs and hash browns. Girls did inside chores as well as outside. Boys didn’t cook because while women were cooking they were out feeding the animals and milking the cow. It all came together nicely. Love your videos however.

I'd like to share what we do at our home with pancakes and waffles. We add peanut butter spread on them then syrup and it is really filling. Sometimes some chocolate chips in the batter then when they are finished cooking we put butter then peanut butter then syrup. Don't knock it until you try it. 🤗

Yet, another outstanding video provided by my favorite Missouri homesteading family. It’s a joy to see everything you prepare for the whole week as it gives me meal ideas for my own family. And, it’s a blessing to see the ever-smiling Abigail as her smile warms my heart. We are still without a well, needed to hire a local company to put up the facia and softening on the roof, so our homeowners insurance won’t be cancelled and then, I can close on the loan. (Whew!) These are my favorite videos...admittedly for the reasons you stated, but also because although I have 1 child, and you have more children than we do, we still have a lot in common. Homesteading Homeschooling Cooking from scratch On the weekends I serve 9 to 11 family members, weather permitting. I also like to see that it can be done economically. 👍 Ps. I am fron Tulsa Oklahoma, which is similar food culture to the Ozarks My husband is from Morocco.

If you put the eggs in a bowl of water and the very fresh eggs will sink to the bottom then as they get older they gradually rise and if the reach the top.and float through them out. I use the slightly older ones in backing.

This is always nice to see I grew up on a farm and miss all the things from the garden and the goat cheese , goat milk and all the other great healthy things fresh from a farm.
