Globally as well! All the way from her little homestead to me a town in England and I’m pretty sure many many many other people in dozens of countries. So inspiring 🥰 Edited to add I ordered a week to view planner today so I can get a better hold on my weekly meal plans and a better cleaning schedule the whole family can follow! I don’t think I’ve ever been excited like this to get a diary and start filling it in 😆

I am in the mountains of central Pennsylvania, so we have similar weather. I get my seeds from Botanical Interests and Baker Creek has the seeds as well.

A great meal with cabbage is my favorite, German Skillet. In a skillet put chopped cabbage with chopped onions, sprinkle about 1/4 cup of rice around the cabbage, place ground beef ontop then a can of tomato sauce ontop of everything, salt pepper onion and garlic powder. I pour in about a cup of water. Put a lid on it. Cook on med low for an hour. Dont touch dont look just let cook. Then its done. Its delish!!

I got mine off of ebay (UK ebay but a US seller). It's a presto 23 and was just over £100 including shipping and import tax (all paid for at the same time, no worrying about an extra tax bill when it arrives). It came in about a week. There's quite a lot of US sellers that ship them to the UK, it's worth watching for a few weeks as the prices vary, I waited till they came down a bit though missed out when they were about £85 inc shipping.

We have all raised beds about 2 feet high and love them. I can set in a low chair and work. So much easier on the body, helps keep out some weeds, grasses, and moles. If you have older seeds, put them in a wet paper towel in a sealed baggie. Check and see if they have sprouted in a few days and then plant them if they have.

Do you have a video on how you built the cold frame you referenced in this video? I want to focus on spring and fall gardening this year.

I love your pantry challenge videos and have been participating over on insta. What this means for my family, is that we love homemade bread most days instead of going to the store (it’s surprising how tasteless store bought is after homemade) and that I really need to stock up on ketchup😆 Thanks you Jessica for my personal growth this challenge, by using up what we have in the kitchen in stock, and being creative at mealtime.x

PS. That happened to me with my asparagus. A garden I made 20 years ago is raised but I failed to put hardware cloth down. I didn't know we had voles. They destroyed and ate all my asparagus over time. Needless to say, I started another raised garden, with hardware cloth!!!!!

I looked online but cannot figure out where the Forjars lids are made. Not interested if they are made in China. Does anyone know?

You should think about canning your tallow in smaller jars. With the winter cold and the size of your family I bet you would go through smaller jars of tallow fast enough that it would be safe to keep a jar on the counter by the stove. I get wanting to refrigerate a bigger jar but maybe if the tallow is right by the stove it will be easy to just grab. If a thing is too inconvenient it just won't get used.

I’m new to seed planting, I did buy A LOT Of seeds from Azure standard. I am praying they are good. First time. But my question is I thought Seeds lasted year after year? Can somebody please educate me? Jessica said her I think it was banana Pepper seeds did not germinate because they were two years old. I’m a little concerned because I bought so many seeds. I’m hoping somebody will be kind enough to answer. Thank you

I personally enjoyed every video and all your ideas that you came up with. It reminds me of how I grew up with my mom. We didn’t have much but she always came up with something delicious for us to eat. Have a blessed weekend.

We just moved into our new home. My intention is to have a garden and can as much stuff as I can possibly can! I’ve been canning store bought items as it demands. This weekend I managed 4 jars of blueberry/raspberry jam and 2 jars of applesauce. Was it a ton of stuff no! Was it worth my effort? YES! The jam is delicious and I’ve used the applesauce as a topper for overnight oats! I used 8 lemons that were soft. I zested them and dried the zest for my husband to use in his bar area. I squeezed them for their juices and I then placed the skins in my vinegar citrus cleanser jar. I will NOT have a huge garden in my house. Sadly I’m seriously lacking in room. However, to me ANYTHING coming from my hands and yard are a win! Thank you for continuing to inspire me to get going and “just do it”! God Bless you and your family!

Jessica, I non-officially participated in your #ThreeRiversChallenge . I really enjoyed seeing what I could come up with for the full 2 months. I came up with original meals we have never had. What made it successful was that I had been dedicated to growing & preserving food for the last three years. It was great because I encountered this as a Challenge! (And, I am very competitive.😉). Thanks for inspiring so many of us! ✝️🙏🏼
