Meanwhile, the little decorative fountain in the garden on the left continues to sprinkle merrily. That's an awful lot of very dense black smoke for just a "barn" to produce - unless it was a barn filled with old tires.

Time for a bucket brigade from the fountain!

Well it isn't an explosion for starters ! Gas tanks are built with blow off valves to allow the escape of gas in such a situation as this. As the pressure builds inside the tank it slowly squeezes a spring in the valve, when critical pressure is reached the spring opens the valve releasing the gas so as to avoid an explosion and rupture of the cylinder.

How long did it take for the Fire Brigade to get there? Hope the neighbour spraying the garden hose over the fence managed to save his trees etc.
