This is my take on classic ukiyo-e printmaking using lino.
For me the journey is more satisfying than the end result, thats why there are so many unnecessary steps in this video and feels like it's hard to follow.
I started this project in the summer of 2019 and found myself putting it to the side, because of the large amount of work. But being in lockdown 2020, I managed to finished it.
This is an experimental print for me, and when I started I had no idea how long it will take or how I will be able to make a print out of this, but I'm super happy with the outcome.
Music is by one of my favorite bands - Grails. All songs are from one album - Chalice Hymnal.
Prints currently are not available, but hopefully will make a limited run of 10 or 20.
