Why am I not hearing you shouting out about the atrocities that were committed at the music festival and many Kibbutz in Israel. Babies and children were executed, some with their throats slit in front of their families and friends. Hostages taken bleeding and wounded while their friends were slaughtered around them. Let me remind you about the young woman who was paraded on the back of a truck, bleeding, near naked with a serious head injury. Another pulled by the hair, also bleeding and shoved into a car. Both were spat on, jeered at, rocks thrown etc by bystanders. So called innocent people of Gaza caught up in the war. Why are you not calling this out?

honestly this comment section is really pathetic. sadly, it seems that the recent light being shed on the 75+ year long occupation of Palestine and its conflict with Israel, has essentially given people a false sense of nationalism mixed with racism. true colors have been shown worldwide of how people view not just Palestinians, but Muslims as a whole. what so many of you people fail to understand is that the solution of “if they love palestine so much go back there” is not so simple. first off, there is nowhere to return to, hence the protests, thought i would start with the obvious. secondly, so many of you fail to understand that the majority of the palestinians living in places like the chicagoland area are 2nd and 3rd generations. we have been in this country for well over half a century and have established lives, careers, and families here. for so many people to dismiss us as fresh off the boat immigrants who snuck into this country is extremely offending to all the work, trials, and tribulations that we have had to endure here and overseas. we never had to assimilate to american culture or tradition, we were born and raised here, and have every right to practice our faith, freedom of speech, and all rights that come standard to every American.
