A nice tour of this terrific nursery. It’s been a while since I purchased some 15 gallon specimens from them, so it was a pleasure to see some of their current stock. Large specimens are the head turners when you’re passing by or visiting a southern California garden. They draw one’s attention and stimulate an interest to explore what else is pleasing in the landscape. Now, in mid-winter the large clumping aloes and tree aloes put on their spectacular floral display , which makes them very eye catching. A minor correction; the Ponytail Palm, Beaucarnia recurvata, “flowers” were actually the attractive reddish-brown seed capsules. Ponytails bloom in late summer. (For those interested in seeing more giant succulents I’ve been focusing on them in my videos.)
Loved this video & to see the CA countryside! Wow! Didn’t know there was so much open space there. Great to see what full grown cactus & succulents really look like.
That was fun!!!! I love seeing full grown plants!!! So magestic!!! I have some jade in my yard and it does just fine in my wine barrel on the patio! Thanks for sharing Debra!!!
Always loved a field trip in school. But that was decades ago. I also love seeing other peoples plants. I live in the Pacific northwest so I must keep my plants in pots so they can be moved in out of the wet and the cold.
