Largest Diameter HDPE Pressure Pipe in America: Steinaker Canal 

Starting in September 2022, the Uintah Water Conservancy District pipes the Steinaker Service Canal using HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene). This follows the pipelining of Reach I in 2016 and 2017. The pipeline will extend by approximately 2.82 miles. The overall goal is to fully enclose the canal and connect it directly to Steinaker Dam, enhancing water security for the Ashley Valley. Given the canal's hybrid operation and shallow slope, large diameter HDPE pipes are necessary to accommodate required flows. Upon completion, this project will feature the largest diameter pressure pipe HDPE installation in the United States.
