My grandmother was born in Fayette in 1911. After the iron works closed, it was a fishing village for a while (my great grandfather was a commercial fisherman). I grew up in nearby Rapid River, MI.
When you're at places like this by yourself get a GoPro and set it up to capture a timelapse video. Set it at 10 seconds 4k 60 wide. This gets you 10 seconds per hour. The smooth movement of the clouds with the historic buildings would be a nice addition to your video. You can always count on having clouds in MI. It doesn't have to be the newest model. I still use a GP8.
How can you abandon a town with so much help we have now it's towns that are in major deficit and still running like there's no problem...it's sad but I'm glad they figured out a solution to not leave one behind
